The cafe is excellent. They give healthy food options. I ate the sandwich with Turkey. It was very light and delicious. We also drank two juices. They were the best. The girl who made the juices was very proficient. Loves them. We also are acai. We definitely recommend this cafe.
15min after said order was done I finally got it… if you’re going to have online ordering and “expected pick up” time please have it out. My lunch break is short it’s super frustrating to show up and have to wait for all these people to order before I can grab my order and go.
My vanilla latte was perfect! Smooth and delicious with oat milk. Great service! This coffee cafe is a hidden gem!
We go to Outer Bean every time we visit OBX. They have the best smoothies. Great sandwich place. They have plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Everything is super flavorful. It's our favorite lunch stop. Seating is sparce - but we have always found a table. It's definitely a hole in the wall type place, but the food is excellent.

We always stop by the outer bean when we go to the outer banks on vacation. Great protein smoothies, fruit bowls, coffee, and lunch sandwiches. 10/10 would recommend!
Best meal of the trip. I had a gluten free, vegan sandwich and felt like I could build a house after. They packed a lot on to this perfect sandwich: olive tapenade, sunflower seeds, apple, spinach - everything in proportion. My friend had a standard eggs, bacon and cheese (cheddar!) on a roll and loved it too. Iced coffee was delicious. Plus the service was great. Thank you!

Don’t be fooled by the name, this is NOT a coffee shop. I found this place after a quick google search for…”coffee”…and stopped in desperately needing a good cup of coffee after a long trip. When I asked for coffee, the person working the counter rather apathetically pointed towards the wall at one of those hotel type carafes, which I served myself from (after paying at least TWICE what a cup of 7 Eleven cup would have cost me. At least the 7 Eleven coffee would have been warm…). Maybe my overdramatization of this encounter directly hinges on my grossly unrealistic expectation that a place with the names “Bean” and “Cafe” in the title would somehow focus itself around a decent cup of coffee……but still. Definitely NOT the case here. Maybe everything else is phenomenal, but I’ll never know because you’ve hurt me now oh Outer Bean Cafe; scared for life I am. Oh well….guess I’ll go to 7 Eleven for my coffee.

We stumbled upon Outer Bean Cafe while on vacation and loved it so much we went back 3 more times in one week!! Their Açaí bowl is out of this world and we loved all the other delicious food options with fresh, healthy ingredients. Coffee was flavorful and made to order. The staff is super friendly and we can’t wait to see them again next trip!!
Great food and great prices. I tried the vegan salad and the veggie panini. Very good if you are looking for something healthy. Lots of toppings on the salad! Yum!
Very yummy vegan food with vegetarian and omnivore items, too. Don't hesitate to ask them if they can customize menu items to your tastes/restrictions because everything is made from scratch!

Wonderful place! Great smoothies and paninis. I also had an amazing açaí bowl filled with fresh fruit and granola. Very friendly staff and an extra for the great music.
Popped in for a quick breakfast on our way out of town. Very tasty and there was something for everyone. As a vegan in the outer banks it was much appreciated!
