I heard about this cute little bakery from a friend of mine and decided to give it a try. The staff is so sweet and the shop itself has a great atmosphere . This is the only cupcake left out of our dozen. We split them up and tried a bite of each and these are by far the best cupcakes. Moist, not too sweet and a unique variety of flavors. Most definitely my go to for sweets from now on.

I visited the Hickory location for the first time; I heard good things and read good reviews so thought I would give it a try. They didn’t have a big selection, although I did go right when they opened at 10 am. I got the vanilla cupcakes with white and chocolate frosting … the cupcakes were extremely dry - not moist at all; very disappointed - the cupcakes at Food Lion are better - I’m thinking they have been sitting there for a while to be that dry! I won’t be back. I paid $20 and can’t even eat these cupcakes! The staff was friendly and courteous, hence the two stars.**** *** In response to Owner’s review: I walked in the door at 9:55 am; your website states you open at 10am - I was waiting in my car until 10am but saw someone else walk in earlier and came back out with a purchase - so thought it was ok to go in 5 min early - you state that the cupcakes were not dry b/c they are baked fresh every morning as you sold out night before … but I am giving my honest review after tasting a cupcake, also got the same opinion from another person who tasted one - the cupcakes I purchased this morning are, in fact, very dry! I am only being honest - to say otherwise is calling me a liar - and I do not lie. Perhaps this was just a dry batch, I don’t know … I only know, for a fact, these were awfully dry; my honest opinion as well as that from a neighbor I gave one to … and it IS my opinion that there was not a big selection as I’ve been to other bakeries where the selection was more varied - again, my honest opinion. I’m sorry.
I'd like to start off by saying the food quality from what I purchased today was amazing! The oatmeal sandwich cookies are absolutely delicious, and the waiting/seating area is great. My only complaint was the woman touching my food with no gloves. It would be different if hands were washed in between each customer. The woman paid cash in front of me, so money hands were touching my food. That's my only complaint, just please wear gloves or wash your hands in between customers. That's the only reason I'm giving it a 4star review.
They made a key lime for a friend’s birthday. What a great pie. The best key lime pie I have ever eaten. Thanks for making my friend’s 50th birthday the best.
Would have bought something if they had the prices on anyting I asked the lady what were the prices and she showed me the price on one thing. I don't want that one thing .I want to know the prices while you being so cryptic . list your prices. it's not to much to ask. (This is an update to the owner who wrote me a note to my review.) Yeah I did leave a five-star rating for The Corner bakery. And in doing so I did not bash you .I praised them because they had good cupcakes and their prices were clearly marked .I don't want to have to ask you for every single thing I'm looking at .you should already just have it marked like ANY OTHER STORE HAS. DON'T SEE WHERE THERE'S ANYTHING FISHY ABOUT THAT AS THEY GAVE ME EXCELLENT SERVICE . THEY EARNED THEIR FIVE STARS WITH ME. DO BETTER ON YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Not sure how that seems fishy to you 🤣. I even stated that when I got the cupcakes it was at Christmas I also did a review today for another place to and gave them also a five-star because once again they have customer service. Today was my first trip to your store.
Love this bakery. They made 60 cupcakes for a baby shower with the theme"Our Little Lucky Charm". These cupcake were a great and so delicious. They will a big hit. Thank you again.
The Apple turnovers were awesome, the quality and freshness were mouth watering.. strongly recommend ! The Cakes are so moist. Thanks for being in our area 💕

2 stars ONLY because their food is good- Valentine's Day I went in around 10am and asked if I could order 6 chocolate covered strawberries- I was told they were out of chocolate to dip the strawberries but they could do white candy dipped with cookie crunch type sprinkles. Great. Ordered 6, told them I work a few doors down and would pick them up later the same day. Asked what time they closed and was told "I think we close at 6 today." I replied great, we close at 5pm, I 'll be back to get them before you close." I paid for the strawberries as well as the cake pops and other treats I was purchasing and left. I returned at 4:45pm and THEY WERE CLOSED with not a soul in sight and me with NO TREATS for my spouse. It gets better. I work with someone who knows the owner. They called the owner who said , have her come by tomorrow and we'll either give her money back or give her the strawberries. The following day I went in the shop an asked for a refund for the strawberries I'd ordered the day before and TRIED to pick up but they were closed. The lady goes to the shelf behind her and brings me the box and says "These strawberries?" I told her I no longer wanted them and would like a refund. She took the box to the kitchen and spoke with the owner; they both came out to the register and proceeded to ask if I knew how much my total was from the day before ? I didn't, as I was not given a receipt. They couldn't find the transaction in the register so they finally just refunded what I assume was the price of the strawberries. How would I know, I never saw a receipt. There was no apology whatsoever about the "mix up" on the closing time of the day before(since obviously the person working did NOT know what they were closing). No apology AT ALL. Very unprofessional way to handle a business. Did not even try to make amends. An apology would have gone a long ways. Maybe explaining what happened - did they close early? or did the girl tell me the wrong time? I absolutely refuse
The cashier was nice and friendly. I wasn't impressed with the quality of the baked goods I purchased. I was advised that the cookies were made that morning, but they tasted old and stale.
Love chocolate possum!!! The cupcakes are awesome and the ice cream was good too. The ladies are so friendly. Would recommend very highly!
EVERYTHING is yummy!
Vanilla Cupcakes were awesome! I went in the pouring rain and it made me happy nonetheless. I keep up on Facebook page I’m excited to try the Hershey Shake I’m excited to see what the possum does next.
My family and I loved their pecan pie! It was super delicious and the best pecan pie I have ever tried. Will definitely be trying more pies soon!
