Nice little bakery with a few gluten free options! The crustless quiche was very good and my salad was also! The lemon basil vinagarette is light and a very nice flavor!

This was a great spot in the beginning of our hike day. The barista suggested and awesome place to hike. Everyone there was honestly nice and left an impression on me. Haha and so did the food and coffee. It was the best croissant I ever had. I'll be back for sure

They’ve gotten much better through the years and are very consistent nowadays. This is one of the best bakeries in the area. Eat in or take out. They always have a discounted bread section as well. The staff have been pleasant since Covid as well.

I love this place. I always feel welcomed by the staff, and you can tell they are happy to be there. The food and coffee are delicious and always hit the spot. The carrot cake is my favorite. And the croissants, too.

I love flat rock bakery and Fletcher village bakery. The Fletcher location tends to be smoky inside when they are busy, which is a little off putting. Food is great though, and coffee is tasty.

Enjoy a coffee with a breakfast or lunch while picking up truly delicious bread for your household. The 9-Grain loaf is about the best whole grain bread I've found in Asheville. Egg sandwiches are a good standard or the vegi sandwich - both on the 9-grain. Also the peanut butter chocolate chip cookies are worth buying however many are in the window - they are tasty and smooth without being oily or too sweet. I also enjoy the everything bagel. The bread arrives each day around 11 AM or 11:30 AM - so plan to get their for lunch or stay late with coffee if you want a fresh loaf of bread to bring home. You can order the bread ahead and they will reserve a loaf for you so you don't show up and have it sold out (it does sell out). A bit of outside seating along with a few tables and booths inside provide ample room to meet a friend or just bring a book and read while enjoying breakfast/coffee/lunch.

I ordered the egg tartlet, and my husband had the croissant. Both were delicious. The customer service was great. We will definitely be back.

This place is hopping, and a great little neighborhood coffee shop & breakfast spot. I got a drip coffee and a raisin bran muffin. Both exceeded my expectations! Absolutely delicious stuff. I can't wait to come back.

I love FVB. The food is ALWAYS superb and the staff is wonderful. I love the food so much I even had platters made for an informal gathering this past Christmas. I needed it in the morning prior to their opening and they worked it out so everything was fresh and pickup was a breeze. Please keep up the great work and awesome food!

It’s a nice local spot to meet a neighbor or friend, but there are some issues: 1. Few outlets if you want to work, although this helps cut down folks that hog the limited seating. 2. Not cheap - you can’t get a cup of drip coffee and a bagel with toppings for under $10, and much of the bread costs close to $9/loaf. 3. Mixed baking quality - a lot of the items I’ve ordered have been over baked. I used to come weekly but as it’s gotten more crowded and quality has seemed to decline the last few years, I stop by maybe once a month. I believe their opening a third location so they may have lost focus as they expand.

Best chocolate croissant I’ve ever had and that includes traveling to Paris. Hubby really liked his mocha too.

I can't say enough about the yumminess of this place! Edit-absolutely NO recipe for Irish soda bread that I could find called for freaking fennel seeds. I was mighty disappointed when I bit into it. 😔

This is such a wonderful little cafe. The sandwiches are delicious with generous, fresh ingredients. Their bread is delicious and their gooey chocolate chip cookies are some of the best I've had.
