Coffees and specialty drinks are very strong. If that's how you like it, then you will really enjoy their coffee. I got a Caramello and was expecting it to be sweet....even asked for it to be extra sweet. I added extra sugar, and it was not sweet at all and was very strong. Nice outdoor seating area. Very relaxing.
I feel like a terrible person complaining about this, but Coco cinnamon has just become completely unaffordable. I want to support local places, but it is just wild to charge six dollars, six dollars! For a can of kombucha. There’s nothing in that price that justifies charging that much. I actually cannot afford to shop there anymore, which is so unfortunate. I know businesses are struggling, but consumers are too.
Excellent latte. Diner vibe. Glad we tried it.
I will never come here again. Took forever to receive my coffee, with the place nearly empty. Took 2 sips, sat at table that was unnoticeably crooked, entire drink fell all over the floor. Employees stared, wouldn't tell me where napkins were. Told me pay for another coffee. Rude service people!! Never going back.
Nice atmosphere. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
20% MANDATORY tip unless you preorder online. If you want your pastry warmed up, you need to do it yourself, which would be fine if you weren’t charging me a mandatory tip. Coffee’s good, but that really left a sour taste in my mouth. Probably won’t be back.
BE CAREFUL!!! THEY WILL ADD A GRATUITY WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE/PERMISSION. This place has coffee that is overpriced and rather weak. In addition, the person at the register will ask if you want a receipt and WILL ILLEGALLY ADD A LARGE TIP WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE/PERMISSION IF YOU SAY YOU DON'T NEED A RECEIPT. I ordered a coffee and was quoted a price of ~$10 at the register, was asked if I wanted a receipt, said no, and saw the person press what looked to be a 25/30% tip for themselves. I did not question it, drank my coffee in the place with my friend, and later went back up to order a $4.50 drink to-go, but paid closer attention this time. And I was certain, they added a large tip for themselves AGAIN. I later went to check my banking app to confirm my suspicions and lone and behold a ~$10 charge magically became over $13.30 dollars and a $4.50 drink magically became a $6.05 charge. THIS PRACTICE IS BOTH ILLEGAL AND UNETHICAL TO QUOTE CERTAIN PRICES AND THEN GIVE YOURSELVES A TIP WITHOUT THE KNOWLEDGE/PERMISSION OF THE CUSTOMER. I should honestly report the business for this. THE LEAST I CAN SAY IS THAT YOU SHOULD NEVER GIVE THIS ESTABLISHMENT YOUR BUSINESS, BOTH BECAUSE THEIR PRODUCT IS UNDERWHELMING/OVERPRICED AND BECAUSE THEIR STAFF IS ENGAGING IN UNETHICAL BEHAVIOR. I AM NOT THE FIRST PERSON TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS. CHECK THE REVIEWS. THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING PROBLEM. SHAME ON YOU. SHAME.
Has a nice vibe to it . Seems busy which is really good to see . What I Really don't like is when you pay your bill and the tip is added to your bill automatically AT 20% . I believe it's our choice on what the tip should be .
Cute local coffee shop with great vibes to chat or work. We stopped in while passing through NC and are so glad we did!
This company refuses to take cash, which is incredibly classist. Staff was very kind about it but management clearly are a bunch of yuppies who don't care about working class people
I’ve read the owners many responses. Covid is not affecting businesses anymore. Forcing us to pay workers wages instead of just raising prices or paying them better is ridiculous. The workers didn’t do anything to warrant any amount of tip let alone 20%. Will continue to not come here unless I have too. Also drink had an odd flavor for a coffee with no added flavor. Any decent vibe that the space provided was ruined by this tip garbage.
This is the cutest coffee shop! The staff was extremely kind, helpful and the atmosphere is great. Next time I will have try the yummy pastries they have.
Such high quality, tasty coffee drinks. Pleasant indoor and outdoor space. Friendly staff.
Lovely atmosphere. No sugar free options very disappointing. I think added 20% gratuity is silly. I’d much rather decide on the anount to add. So beautifully decorated.
Cocoa Cinnamon used to be one of my favorite local coffee shops to grab a latte. I returned today for the first time in a while and ordered a drink that I was unaware would be sweetened. My mistake. I apologized and asked politely if it would be possible to get the drink remade (I have a medical diagnosis that prevents me from having sugar) and the barista’s response was that he’d make me another if I order and pay for a new one. It just stings a bit more when a mandatory 20% gratuity is added to a drink I cannot drink, made by a barista who was less than kind.
Love the Al Mokha, the vibe, somedays I work from here for about two to 3 hours for a change of scenery.
Cute space. Nice patio. Coffee was subpar for their price point. I had a pour-over of their Ethiopian and it was very underwhelming. Staff was slow to acknowledge me and not outgoing. Automatic 20% gratuity added to all orders. Bathrooms were clean.
This is some of the best cofee I've ever had, and I've gone twice! It is not just serving your normal lattes and cappacinos, there are some very unique, complex coffees. Ingredients are not ordinary, these are majestic concoctions...I mean it. And the flavors arent achieved by just dowsing the drink with chemical syrups, the're truly special. Puts Starbucks to shame! Note, the drinks are a little pricy, but I believe you're paying for the fine ingredients and the care and attentikn that goes into crafting each drink. There are three of these Cinamons in the Durham area; I visited and like the one on Hillsborough road.
Such a cool spot. New spins on coffee and tea you’ve never heard of and it’s delicious. Friendly great service.
The only thing would be better if you had coke or Pepsi. And cheer wine. The staff is very amiable and kind.
