It’s coffee, yet it takes an incredible amount of time to get even this simplest of drinks.

Staple coffee shop in the triangle. If you like coffee/tea you should definitely make a stop. Atmosphere is fantastic and staff is done of the nicest/helpful you will meet

Great employees and great ownership. I always love to support a business that I share values with, but I usually enjoy my coffee more elsewhere. That being said, Bean Traders does have incredible pastries and bagels. My personal favorite is the one with jalapeno cream cheese and cucumber slices, but they're all very good. The inside also has plenty of outlets and is a nice atmosphere to get some work done, although sitting right under the speakers can be distracting.

Hands down my favorite coffee shop these days. I love the menu, I love the staff, and I love the vibe. The Flavored Cold Brew is my lifeblood.

Waited 45 minutes for an iced latte and a bagel. They were busy. But when my order came up, it was a carrot muffin. They made no effort to fix it. So I had to ask for a refund. They wouldn't even let me have the iced latte!!! Terrible customer service

Great coffee and baked goods. Nice indoor and outdoor spaces to sit and drink your coffee; solo, socially, or even for a work meeting. Very friendly staff. A bit pricey, and the service is consistently very slow, but worth the price and wait.

I came to buy some coffee beans. Had to wait 30 min in line and that 30 min to get my beans because somehow they lost my order. It happened second time . I am not going back !

My partner and I have been here a few times now. Coffee, waffles, the vibe, and the staff are all great! Their coffee is delicious and we love coming here to read or just hang and enjoy a cup of Joe.

I met an industry colleague here for the first time yesterday and loved it so much I stopped by in between appointments today! I'm vegan and I love coffee shops and I love it when they have fresh baked vegan options. I had the pumpkin muffin yesterday and I had the donut muffin today and they were both delicious. I was turned on by something called a tcloud which is Earl Gray tea with vanilla and your choice of milk. I recommend soy milk.

This place is terrific. Great coffee, great pastries, an old school coffee shop vibe. But man oh man is the service slow. You can easily wait 15 min (in 2 successive lines) for a muffin and drip coffee. Send in the operations people and make this place perfect!

Delicious but stood in a like for 25 minutes before we even got to place our order. Seems like they can’t cope with demand.

Fast and friendly service, even at the busiest hour of the day. The seating is abundant both inside and out so it's a great spot to meet up for a cup of coffee.

This is my go to place, I always loved it here, the coffee, and pies and scones. But the pie I got today looks a bit pathetic....

Good coffee Horrendously slow even by Southern standards. Has the potential to be great but they have got to Pick up the pace

We love this place! My kids are two and three, taking them anywhere is an adventure, but I want them to experience life outside of spaces exclusively curated for children. Bean Traders is perfect for that! If you don't have little ones, then it is an awesome down to earth coffee shop with amazing drinks and food, a cozy productive atmosphere, and an incredibly kind staff. I even go here, in my limited time without the kids, to get things done on my laptop while drinking the best Chai Latte in Durham. If you do have littles, then here is why this should be a go-to real world spot. It will make you feel like you are doing an outing for you even with toddlers in tow. Their food is kid friendly, pastries, bagels, and the BEST waffles in town, so you can find something for even the pickiest eater. The staff is patient. When my three year old wants to order independently they engage with him, and they never make us feel like a burdensome customer. The atmosphere is a little more bustling than other cafes, so the kids don't stick out as too noisy, and all of the customers have been sweet and apparently unbothered by our presence. A lot of the set-up is independent-kid friendly, so my three year old can get his own napkin, water, and straw which means I don't have to, and he can be proud he did it himself. Finally, they have a massive chalk wall that is always supplied with a large box of chalk. So, when the kids have finished eating, I can sip my coffee while they play.

Staff is super nice and coffee and food are great. It does seem to be on the pricey side but the quality is worth it. Scones and mochas tend to be my go-to.

One of the best coffee place in the triangle. Love the hot chocolate, chocolate habanero and espresso shake. Haven’t tried their food but surely it’s good.. great vibes, great hangout place.
