I seriously just love this place so much. I don’t live in Charlotte, but I have family here, and every time my husband and I visit, Undercurrent is a must-go. The brown sugar latte is supreme, and all the food we’ve tried has been delicious. Plus, the space just has good vibes. 10/10!

Coffee and food was absolutely delicious! I got an iced sea salt mocha. I also tried some coffee cake, a parfait, and a sausage breakfast sandwich. All of it was fantastic! Service was OK. They didn't repeat our order and we couldn't see a screen with the order on it so it wasn't until after we got all our other food that we realized they didn't hear us order the overnight oats. The outdoor seating was lovely! The cushioned chairs indoors were kinda dirty. Crumbs and stuff on them that the employees just didn't have time to clean between people.
My first morning in Charlotte after a 12+ hour travel day, I was blown away by my iced Americano with cinnamon roll syrup. Just wow. Very great coffee and a simple but marvelous interior aesthetic.
Took almost 40 mins to have 4 drinks made, and they were horrible, And expensive.

first and last time visiting. not friendly , didn’t even make eye contact. waited 25 mins on a coffee that ended up spilling in my car 2 mins later because the lid wasn’t on all the way. Waste of $7
Took my girlfriend here on a Sunday afternoon for a coffee and we loved everything about it. Great coffee with an atmosphere to match. This will definitely be our go to for coffee.
This place was recommended by a friend and it did not dissapoint. The Latté and the peanut butter banana bread was amazing. Great boost before for my walk to NoDa.
this is my least favorite coffee shop local to plaza. that being said it wasn’t terrible. it’s more of a place to go if you don’t really care about the quality of your coffee, you just want to sit down and hang out in a pretty spot and have a drink. you’ll be waiting for over 20 minutes for anything you get though so make sure you have plenty of time. it really wasn’t terrible, there are just so many other better options within walking distance so i gave three stars to reflect the quality compared to the others i prefer.
Coffee is really good, but could benefit from being served a bit hotter. Between receiving it at the front desk and getting to your chair it gets a bit lukewarm for my taste. Still, my experience was mostly positive.

Under Current is a really nice spot, the staff is phenomenal, the vibe and decor is awesome and the prices are reasonable and best of all everything is made from scratch!! I had the pleasure of stumbling upon this coffee shop in charlotte. I was very happy because I was totally pleased with the professionalism and service attitude of the staff. Most importantly the coffee is the best I have ever had in North Carolina and several other places around this country. If you are in that area, this should be the place you go to. You will not regret it.

Magical! The staff are super friendly and make a great specialty latte. The white chocolate peppermint latte I got was garnished with a mini candy cane and definitely brightened up my day. New favorite coffee shop in Charlotte!

This is one of the best coffee shops in town! All drinks are amazing! The atmosphere inside is very warm, wonderful staff. Highly recommend visiting!
