The coffee is good but the religious undertones in the coffee shop are a bit much. The place is connected to an Elevation Church so I guess I should have expected that going in.
My new favorite spot. Good vibes. Good people. And good coffee. Usually plenty busy!

If you haven't been to Backdrop Coffee then you better grab your keys! This modern coffee shop has a gracious amount of seating and a menu that can satisfy even the pickiest of taste buds. I started with a cortado coffee w/vanilla (yes it had a cute heart heavy cream design), treated myself to a strawberry parfait then dove into a sweet waffle with whipped cream and caramel drizzle. Surprisingly the sugar wasn't overpowering and a harmony of flavors left me both impressed and satisfied. Can you believe it only cost me $14?!?! Definitely recommend! For those wondering parking was easy to access, orders are done at the counter and yes they do have cornhole just outside the building for a great experience!

Weird environment baristas give weird stares and take pictures of the customers. Save your money and go elsewhere.
Employees are solid, always a pleasant experience going here. Coffee is supreme as well.

We went at a peak time and ordered the sourdough waffle and the parfait, which were both terrific. We also had a latte and a drip coffee, which were not good. The espresso was bitter and ashy tasting. The coffee was slightly better.
Hands down, best coffee in Charlotte. Flat white, iced latte, tonic espresso and drip coffee is fantastic. Always great signature and seasonal lattes. Great waffles & avocado toast! Amazing indoor and outdoor setup with a caring and personal staff. Easy and free parking on site makes it easy to book meetings here. My kids love going on Saturdays and the space outdoors is great to let them run around safely.

Hands down one of the best coffee shops in Charlotte! The atmosphere is incredibly well curated, the coffee is consistently fantastic and the sourdough waffle has changed the very concept of waffles for me for the better Using a 30 year old recipe from his grandma it single-handedly set the new standard for what a waffle is supposed to be The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming in a sincere way that is deeper than just coffee
First time here a couple weeks ago. A center of activity in the growing north end. Owner / roaster is a cool guy and has done so much. Icing on the cake : hires differently-abled folks to help with the roasting operation ❤️
The flat white I ordered this morning smells good, taste awesome, and it has exceeded my expectation. The barista is friendly and certainly made my day, highly recommended for a good cup of coffee in the morning before work.

We moved her from Austin and have become very particular regarding excellent coffee. I had done a google search about excellent coffee, and this place tops our list. Jaz, the manager, invited us to schedule a tour once we came to town, and she held her word and gave us an incredible time and remembered my asking in advance. We even had the opportunity to meet Toby, the owner, and were in Awe of his 30-plus years of experience in the business. The tour included experiencing coffee and the inclusivity of those who make it all come to life. This is not your everyday coffee experience; it's more like a spiritual journey of belonging and being proud to be a part of such a fantastic community. You will not be disappointed. Rest assured. There is also a nice view of uptown as you sip your special cup of have around a fire pit outdoors.
Hands down my favorite coffee shop!! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Been coming here since they first opened, and I’m glad to see them get continuous glowing reviews they deserve!
Wonderful spot with great coffee and super friendly staff and ownership! Lots of space inside and outside in the courtyard for studying, work, or hanging out. Haervest Coffee roasters next door that supplies the coffee is a really cool spot if you get a chance to ask about it! Oh, and try the sourdough waffle while you're there!! 🧇😍
