Not bad, not amazing. Decent basic coffee
Really nice place also serve alcohol! Very home like.
Stopped here on my way through town. The service was really friendly. I got a lox bagel and a chai latte as I'm not a coffee drinker. Both were very tasty.. the bagel took a minute you have to wait by the pick up window before taking a seat, but it was worth it. The bagel was toasted perfectly and the lox was cool and fresh. Perfect way to start the morning. The atmosphere was nice. When I showed up, a few people had brought their dogs, others were just catching up. It was a nice peaceful spot that felt very local. It was the sort of spot you wished you lived next to so you could walk there for a nice moment with coffee/tea in the sun. There is also a shaded patio in the back where dogs aren't allowed, if that's your thing. There is a parking lot and plenty of space when I went. People didn't seem to stay too long but long enough for a cup of coffee. People were a mix of individuals and groups, some working some chatting, some just enjoying the weather
Great coffee, cute shop, and yummy breakfast sandwiches.
My daughter and I enjoyed our handcrafted coffee beverages. I enjoyed a hot mocha, and she went for the caramel Frappuccino. It was a lovely day in the porch. We saw many people working while enjoying the weather on the patio. Looking forward to returning.
First time visiting this part of Charlotte, and we went here because we thought the name was cute lol. But the coffee was phenomenal! The spiced brown sugar latte was delicious and my friend loved their white chocolate latte. The environment is so cute and customer service was great as well. Would love to visit this little place again when back in Charlotte. 🫶
This is the opposite of a chain coffee shop! We love this place. The owner is actually hanging out making sure you are very satisfied. They care about there products and their coffees taste special like there is a little love in all of it. We worked here a couple of mornings and the wifi was solid. Comfortable / quality products / friendly staff and an engaged owner that takes pride in her shop.
Possibly the second worse espresso I've been served. It was barely warm and the beans were harsh. Disappointing.
Loved the coffee and the atmosphere. Very welcoming to people from out of state too, so far we’ve been to some sketchy places but this place really beats every other coffee shop so far. The lattes are the BEST!
Terrible service. Order was delayed. Not coming back. It should not take 30 minutes to get a cup of black coffee.
Nice quiet place to have coffee with a friend and chat.
This spot had probably one of the best if not the best espresso shots I've had in my life. I came back a second day to make sure it wasn't a fluke - it wasnt. Their drip was on point too. I ended up picking up some beans to brew at home and have been loving those so far as well. I'll probably make it a point to visit this shop every time I go to Charlotte now.
This new set up isn't disability friendly unfortunately. There are 2 windows on side of the building for order & pickup. Everything is outside, we aren't allowed inside like for a bathroom. The deck at order window is tilted out into the street. I asked for accommodations at the flat pick up window. I was told No & told to move a chair to the order window. If I have balance challenges & I have showed you my cane in which I need one hand to use only leaving me with 1 hand left how exactly am I supposed to drag your heavy chair uphill. I did not expect such an insensitive response
Don't order tea here if you like black tea, better bang-for-buck sausage breakfast burrito can be found down the street at Rhino Deli Market (imo mcdonalds might even have better bfast burritos...), but apparently the coffee is pretty good
Little nice place but very disappointed to have most finished my quiche and my husband already had finishe his biscuit sandwich before they bring our coffees. When I complained the girl told me that usually they bring the food before the coffee.
This place is super popular but honestly the way it’s set up is odd to me. Also one of the doors is just locked unless an employee lets you in but the one next to the parking lot (not the sidewalk) is unlocked? It’s just odd. Also, why should you have to order outside if you’re going to go sit inside? However if you want to sit outside it also works well with the order and pickup windows preventing too much congestion in one area. Food items are overpriced but the drinks are standard pricing and tasty so not much of a complaint there.
In Simple words, whenever I get a chance I drive like 10 miles to get their coffee. One reason is because of their coffee but the other big reason is the restaurant itself. So ambient.
I had high hopes for this place. I just couldn’t understand it. We had reservations to eat inside. We had no idea where to go. The doors were locked. We saw a woman carrying a tablet who took another table of people inside, so we thought we just had to wait for her to come back out to seat us. She never did. We went up to a window to ask what we needed to do. That guy told us to go up to the other window, skip the line, and tell them we had a reservation. I did that. The person at that window said we needed to wait in line, order our food, and then we’d be let inside. What was the point of having a reservation if we had to be in the same line as everyone else? When we finally got inside, my friend received her food and coffee, and I didn’t receive mine. My friend sat there not eating until an employee walked by and asked why she wasn’t enjoying her food. That was the only reason I ever even got my food. The breakfast burrito was tiny, but the coffee was good. We walked down the street and got Reigning Doughnuts immediately afterward because we were still hungry. All in all, it was a disappointing stop. Love the coffee mural on the side of the building though!
I have been a customer for years, I buy their beans and have been getting breakfast and coffee at least 2× a week for years. The product is good but customer service and the odeko online ordering was a little less than successful today. I placed an order 25 minutes ago and am still waiting. Can't talk to anyone as the windows closed and no updates. I understand there are staffing shortages but please update the app accordingly and provide realistic expectations. I waited way too long and got the wrong items. They still have the best coffee in town
The Smelly Cat Coffee House was highly rated, so my crew and I went out of our way to visit. I ordered an espresso in a ceramic cup and two pour overs to go. After 20 or so minutes and the other folks getting their drink (at various times), I inquired on my drinks. The espresso was sitting in a paper cup waiting to come out with the pour overs that were still not done. When I reminded them that the espresso was supposed be in a ceramic cup, the took the old espresso and dumped it in a ceramic cup. It was cold and no good- a waste of money. The pour overs were just okay. I was super bummed. It did not live up to the hype.
