Friendly staff. They offered me a free sample which is great! The treat we bought was delicious 😋
If you're looking for a delightful French bakery in town, Amelie's is definitely worth checking out. First of all, the bakery itself is charming and cozy. The atmosphere is fun, warm and inviting, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Even though I stopped in at a very busy time, they managed to keep things running smoothly, the cases fully stocked and I never felt rushed. Now let's talk about the food. Oh my, it was delicious! I tried the macarons, chocolate mousse cups, and a few of their pastries, and they were all fantastic. To drink, I ordered a strawberry cream soda, which was refreshing, sweet and strawberry creamy goodness! Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Amelie's French Bakery. The food was top-notch and the service was excellent. If you're looking for a bakery that's both delicious and welcoming, be sure to check out Amelie's.
My coworker and I walked to Amelie’s and were helped by such a lovely employee named Fia (Sofia?). They helped us with the BEST attitude and customer service. My experience was so positive because of them! Great environment and will definitely go back because of my enjoyable visit today.
We are regular customers and love this place! The lattes are wonderful as well as the croissants. The staff is so friendly. They greet us always with beautiful smiles! we highly recommend this bakery/cafe and look forward to each time we go.
I LOVE this place and I come 3 to 4x a week for work and just to relax. I am so so so so upset they stopped making the chocolate eclair. Several customers are actually. It's rare to find an eclair filled with chocolate mousse and I loved coming here foe them. I'd legit order 2 dozen boxes of them a week for home and my job. So disappointed. Meanwhile there are so many pastries that literally no one orders 🙄. Ugh please bring it back!
Lovecthos place the twice baked croissant is so delish. And the quiche is so yummy. 😋 must go and try. Great friendly staff. Nice clean and brightly lit. Weather permitting, you can sit outside as well.
I was pleasantly surprised that Amelie's actually has a good chicken spinach sandwich that had goat cheese and some sort of basil pesto spread on it. However, overall I feel the quality of the desserts have gone down. Meaning, what's not pictured is a lemon raspberry tart because when I cut into it, it was the consistency of Yellow Grits... Not smooth at all. Therefore, I gave it back and although they admitted it shouldn't be that way they didn't have any fresh ones to swap with because that whole entire batch came from the main store. The soup that came with the sandwich had a decent flavor but it was very mushy, definitely overcooked!
10/10! So delightful! I enjoyed a Spinch & Pepper tart and minestrone soup. Incredible. Before I left, I ordered take home of apple tart and almond croissant! Yum!!! 10/10!
Very disappointed, I ordered 2 Chai lattes large size to go today, and when we were at the house ready to drink them, they taste like water , super watery nothing of what a Chai latte is expected to be, I drove 15 mins to go pick up and 15 mins back and just to put them in the sink, very very disappointed and loose of money
Everyone in my group received their food and was eating and my food had not come out yet. They made it right though, since the stew I wanted was sold out, by reversing my payment back to my card. Then they comp'd another meal and a pastry. They are all so pleasant. Kudos Amelie's, Pineville; Kudos Pam!
I have been coming to Amelie’s for close to ten years. Have always enjoyed coming here for a weekend breakfast. But price increases are out of control. On top of it the portion sizes have gotten smaller. Fine if you have to raise costs, but don’t screw meet on the food amount. For example the croissants have clearly gotten smaller. Will be coming here far less.
The best french Pastries and Tartines in North Carolina
Got to the front of the line and the cashier said “food and drink with me.” I ordered a pastry and got loudly berated for not ordering at the right location. Last time I checked pastry are food. As a first time customer this was very inappropriate.
Almond croissant that I took out was dried out. Worst of all management doesn't seem to care about responding to customer bad experience. It's a shame. I used to like going here Dear Owner, Thanks for your response. I sent a message on your webpage and am awaiting a still response. Not sure how you are expecting me to provide my email privately. Do you really want to make good - it sure doesn't seem like it
Staff at front is friendly. Their system would work better if they brought the drinks for dine-in customers. If you order food for dine-in, you have to 'eye' the barista bar, or listen carefully, if your drinks are ready. Would be way more pleasant if they had the food runner also bring the drinks for dine-in customers, and just to keep the table number for reference for both food and drinks. Today we got our food right away, but the drinks we had to grab from the bar way after we finished our food. The male barista wasn't very personable either...on auto-pilot and a little smug. For to go customers, waiting at the bar works fine. For their pricing, I'd expect service to be better as you have to keep getting up from your seat this way. I know at other counter service places, this method works best as mentioned above. Pastries and desserts are amazing.
Danielle and staff we friendly, helpful and very accommodating! They went above and beyond to deliver me an vanilla eclair at the end of their day. :) And my daughter was able to get a birthday treat to help celebrate her special day as well! We have always loved Amelie’s and this is just a few reasons why! Thank you!!!
Nice and cozy place to be at. However, please teach your baristas how to make a cappuccino. It was so terrible I had to throw it away. Super hot, the milk was boiled. A gas station coffee would be 10 times better than this.
It was good before fall 2022. I liked everything about this place. However now it is different: - no classic commercial grade espresso machine anymore, just a single "automatic" one. - barista professionalism is questionable: coffee (cappuccino) is very inconsistent, most of the times 8oz cup is filled tops, it is boiling hot that you burn your mouth etc. It tastes more like milk than coffee (too much milk + boiling hot). - to get an extra shot of espresso (to make it taste more like coffee) you have to pay for a separate Double Espresso (I have to order it separately and after because I never know how bad/good my cappuccino will be this time). - prices recently skyrocketed. A "large (diameter=3 inches)" pecan tart is now 6.50 before tax. I would (maybe) agree to pay this price if the coffee section/baristas would be making it right and consistent. Still it became very, very expensive. I did not want to hate it. I just don't understand why should I pay so much for this kind of service (most of my complaints are regarding coffee quality). I know I can find another place but the location of this one is good for me. And it used to be better. Please take some effort to educate baristas and improve the quality of coffee.
This place was so cute. Their sweets were very delicious. The coffee ☕️ was amazing also. We will definitely be coming back
