I love the cute sitting area here, but sometimes the baristas are rude and arrogant which makes me not want to come. Just this morning I asked for oatmilk iced coffee and they put regular milk, when I told them this is not oatmilk they riled their eyes at me. Ended up throwing out the “new” drink they made cause there was no coffee they just topped the same coffee with oatmilk.
Nice backyard coffee spot. Liked the whole chill vibe and the decent playlist (some reggeaton here and there would be good though)
Something about this place feels like it lacks a soul, character and love. It’s lifeless and sad. We need to start noticing small things that bring life to the coffee we drink. The flavors of the espresso, not some automated shot, the temperature of the milk that’s not measured by a thermometer but a hand. Coffee in which we know where it is from, a connection to humans is where coffee gets its warmth.
This coffee chain exists to buy out/push out smaller businesses and coffee shops! BE WARE!
Blank Street Coffee was ABSOLUTELY a five-star experience for my friends and I. Funny enough, as I looked up Blank Street Coffee to write this review, an online article from Thew New York Times popped up that read, "Built around high-volume automated espresso systems, the rapidly expanding coffee shop has caught the attention of skeptical New Yorkers. In just two years, the Blank Street coffee chain expanded from this tiny cart to 40 locations in New York City and five in London." And I wondered, is this a genuine concern of the public? That a once-smaller coffee stand has now gained enough momentum to be more available to its city dwellers? Would we not instead choose to support small businesses that empower their team members and provide qaulity, delicious products? I digress. My pistachio cappucino was perfectly balanced, friends. By no means did it taste mass produced or overly-sweet, but instead it was more of a delicate hint of pistachio that highlighted the smoothness of the espresso and the perfectly-steamed milk. The latte art was a lovely touch, which tells me that the baristas are both experienced and intentional. AND THE OLIVE OIL BUNDT CAKE. I would get on the next train to Brooklyn just to re-live the olive oil bundt cake, honestly. If it's there and you don't get it, you have yet to live my friend. My guests loved their iced americano and large cappucino! All was extremely delicious; so much so that we purchased a bag of beans to take home. Additionally, the kindness of the baristas made the experience that much better. I highly suggest a stop to Blank Street Coffee, if you're in the area!
Mary is the best!! She makes the best lattes in all of NYC. I highly recommend this location because of her! :)
Delicious! Super cute outdoor area and friendly barista! 💯💥
Corporate, sterile, and so inoffensive it’s kind of offensive
Where did all the friendly staff go? My experience today was like ordering a coffee at the DMV.
good prices for great coffee! good option for grabbing a quick but satisfying to-go coffee.
I came to blank street to check out the chamberlain coffee collab and it was good. We had the picky about my chocolate shaken iced latte. The spot is an old dinner and it was really fun to see!
I love their coffee and their pastries. Their spicy cornbread loaf is to die for (trust me it sounds repulsive but its delicious). Where they lose favor in my view is the fact that they have no indoor seating nor wifi nor any creature comforts. They own the diner yet they chose to keep it closed to customers. The drinks are great but I have had to come back once because they gave me the wrong one. I like their app when it works and their coffee is priced well. Update: they have no syrups for the day of September 20th.
Cutest outdoor coffee spot in the neighborhood ❤️
They’re giving out free coffee which is fine, but they are pushing out locally owned shops. They’re backed by venture capital so if you value small local businesses best to stay away and go to you locally owned shop instead. *edit in light of the recent NYTimes article about Blank Street: Didn’t know their coffee brewing was automated. Even more reason to not go here. Go support your local barista.
Really great place with amazing drinks and fun, friendly baristas
My favorite coffee in NYC. Their locations are always a good vibe - and the staff are alwaaays so friendly and chill. Pastries are so good too. Blank > everything.
Great setup for outdoor seating! It should be illegal for a coffee shop to not offer customers a restroom. Coffee is good, but nothing memorable.
Good coffee, great location, big fan
Free referral program via app is amazing and you can get a specialty big coffee for free! I got the iced honey rose latte and I would totally get it again. Very refreshing and not too sweet. People working there didn't seem too friendly but maybe they were just busy
I got a latte from here and something tasted pretty off about it. Maybe I caught them on a bad day. Breakfast tacos are also not great.
