Good coffee. Too busy and while the service is fast in some ways I just prefer a friendlier tone.

a local institution, their bagels are so far above what you can get at a chain it's not even funny. always amazing customer service, and if you can snag a bag of their day old bagels you've hit the jackpot. obviously a big draw for students and faculty at UAlbany, and definitely worth a try if you've never been.

Stopped in here to meet a colleague. Nice atmosphere and staff. Be aware, if you like lox bagels be sure to specify if you want tomato on it, else you're not getting it. And if you order the salt bagel , tell them to hold the capers. They load them on!

Stopped in for breakfast. Friendly staff. Quick service. Good breakfast/lunch and menu options. Was so good we came back for lunch. Sandwiches were generous meat portioned & very filling. Perfect stop!

Best hot chocolate around! Way better than Starbucks and nice nice atmosphere with ample indoor seating and some outdoor seating.

My girlfriend and I go here almost every time she's down from Saratoga Springs. The atmosphere is always a bit energetic, but always upbeat and positive. I have been here at least three times and all three times it was a pleasant experience. I always get the Lumberjack sandwich, it's amazing. My girlfriend is vegetarian and she can get salads here as well as a bagel with peanut butter or cream cheese. There are paintings all along the walls that you can admire and even purchase if that is something you enjoy doing.

I typically like Uncommon Grounds, but I had a bad experience there this morning. They got my order wrong after I specifically told them what I needed to be on my breakfast sandwich and put an ingredient on it that I cannot eat, so now I am stuck at work with a breakfast that I cannot eat. My warning to everybody who eats there is to check the food you get before you leave the restaurant so you can ask them immediately to correct their mistakes.

I didn't get to try the food, but the cappuccino was great. It was my first time coming here, and the person I was meeting had suggested this place. We were able to sit and enjoy our coffee while conversing.

Im in love with the turtle latte with almond milk. Im not normally a coffee drinker so whatever they do to it here is magical. Uncommon grounds has a great work/chillspace (perfect for either) too. I wish they had a little more for food offerings but its pretty standard fare for a coffee shop.

If you can afford specialty coffee this is the best place to get it!!! Everything I've tried is amazing! Especially the Bali coffee ☕️ OMG it's delicious!

I love their Chicken Caesar salad it’s so good. I get two dressings because one isn’t enough for this big salad. I use 1 and a half of dressing.

Visited here around 11am on a Saturday and the line was to the door (not a bad sign). The line moved fairly quickly. Quite a variety of bagels, cream cheese, sandwiches, coffees, etc. I ordered the Lox of love (I believe that was the name) on a pumpernickel bagel along with a Dirty chai (I forgot what they call it there) made with oat milk. It was very good. Couldn’t finish the entire bagel so I ate half and saved the other half. There were a couple seats available but I took mine to go. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely go again!

Address listed is inaccurate, they’re located in Stuyvesant Plaza. Not many vegan options 😭 Disappointing

We LOVE this Uncommon Grounds! Ahmad is absolutely hilarious and made us the most wonderful bagels. He has a wonderful sense of humor. Drew is also extremely helpful! This place is very well run!

Great coffee and bagel place! Love breakfast bagels here just wish there was some kind of potato side to go with it. Their hot apple cider when available is Def a must!

Oddly, though they have tea and steamed milk, they do not make tea lattes at this location. Furthermore, the service will be unpleasant. There's better places on Western Ave.
