Good portion and great food
I hadnt been to street in over a year and was excited when a lunch meeting was set for there. I ordered the fried chicken. And curry fries. Fries were exactly what i remembered. Perfect The fried chicken, I forgot was chicken strips. No harm no fowl. :) The skin was piping hot. The meat was refrigerator cold. Im guessing pre prepped the night before and then microwaved? The server (great attitude and attentive) asked if i wanted them heated up? No thanks i dont want a 3 times cooked chicken strip. I expected fresh strips and i dont have time for the turn around. Soni politely declined, she asked if ahe could get anything else for me, and i declined as well. But heres where it went from meh it is what it is to... Are you kidding me? Who i assumed was a manager comes by after examing the chickem and says, "sorry it was to your standards ill go ahead and take it off. Your bill" as she walked by... No eye cntact. Just a drive by statement. My stabdards? To have hot food? Take it off or dont take it off i wouldnt have paid for a cold piece of chicken that i took one bite of and spit into my napkin anyways. That interaction was enough to conclude my patronage.
The atmosphere is eclectic to say the least. Food selections from around the world with their own twist. Almost something for everyone. Service was outstanding. Enough food for lunch the next day.
Absolutely infreakincredible. I cannot put into words how epic and perfctly executed the flavor combinations are. I will let the food and service speak for themselves. You will not be disappointed.
Check the menu on their website beforehand! The "menu" section on Google wasn't accurate. We stopped in for a quick bite, the food was okay but were surprised by how expensive it was. I don't mind expensive as long as the food aligns and I can't say this did. $17 for a Cuban sandwich with a small side of tortilla chips? Also thought it was a little off that a Cubano was served with a side of tortilla chips. It's a cuban-american dish, not Mexican. Yucca fries would have been more appropriate both the price of the dish and culturally.
Food was delicious and I was glad I tried the Thai sweet iced tea
Disappointing all around. This restaurant has a wonderful idea of including different foods from around the world but poor execution. The food is not authentic and true to the cultures. I ordered the pho and the entire dish was just wrong - the broth lacked flavor, depth, and the warmth of Vietnamese spices. The meat was over cooked and also lacked flavor. If you want to cook Asian foods learn how to do it properly.
So good I've been known to visit on back to back nights. Great food and awesome vibe with a solid draught list and a fun selection of mixed drinks, what's not to love?
Vietnamese Chicken Bibimbap is amazing! The curry fries are out if this world good.
This place was on my list to check out for a while, not sure how I heard of it. Today was the first time checking their menu and it's by far ridiculous! maybe I didn't read it right? but you need to order your fries separately from your burger aka extra $$, if you want any condiments you again pay extra! Maybe I'm spoiled Rohde Islander but we don't get charged by the item!
Eclectic restaurant/bar with high tops by the windows or normal seating. Decent amount of parking available in the plaza. By 1-2 hours after opening they were basically packed. The crowds don’t lie—this is where it’s at. I loved the concept of street food for their theme. The menu was a little hard to read but the food, oh my god the food, was absolutely phenomenal. I wanted to try everything. For a dish with meat expect to pay in the $20 range. Pretty good diversity in selections of dishes and a lot of more well-known dishes. You really can’t go wrong with whatever you order. Friendly, timely service with delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere—highly recommend.
Street is about as good as it gets. Their cemitas, curry fries, cocktails, and Vietnamese coffee are consistently fantastic. Their cocktails are wacky, wild, and delicious. The only downside is service is slow every single time we go, and we’ve been going for years. It’s just the nature of this kind of restaurant but plan accordingly if you have places you need to be. I don’t think we’ve ever dined here in under 2/2.5 hours (unless it was an off time). That shouldn’t deter you though. I don’t mind a leisurely dinner - more time for cocktails and chatting.
It’s very hard to find a restaurant that offers a very unique menu that’s done exceptionally well. This IS one of those restaurants. It combines popular Asian dishes with popular American dishes and delivers a yummy and unique experience. Just about anything you get will be packed with flavor so I’d recommend sharing the plates just so that you can experience it all. I look forward to returning here.
Back when I lived in Portsmouth a few years ago, I was constantly asked if I had been to Street yet to the point of near embarrassment for not having gone yet. I finally went this past Saturday when I was in town and I totally get it now! Such a cool menu that blends all kinds of ethnic cuisines with some American staples like a fried chicken sandwich or burger. We started with some Southern fried chicken tenders and they were honestly so perfectly seasoned, crispy and red hot! Like dynamite good (don't worry I'm not thinking of getting frosted tips like Guy just because I said dynamite good). I wasn't feeling that adventurous that day and felt like a burger after that so that's what I went with! I got it with bacon and a "slab" of fried cheese for a couple extra dollars and it was excellent! We also shared some curry fries and those too, slapped hard. Check out Street!
Everything was so delicious and fresh! So nice to be able to eat good food but still be kid friendly. Will definitely be back for that Bibimbap again!
Theme is street food from around the world. I had the Korean spicy chicken tenders... crispy, huge and delicious!
Every menu item (including proteins and salad dressing)is loaded with sugar. 😕. Can’t take sugar, honey, etc - then you can eat what food eats (raw greens)
DIANA! Best bartender at this fabulous establishment. I drove 3 hours for this restaurant and it did not disappoint, but the bartender, Diana, was absolutely incredible. You should pay her more!!
Fantastic spot hidden on the backside of the building. We had Curry Fries, a Mystery Bowl, and Bi Bim Bap
Excellent unique food done right! Vietnamese iced coffee was delicious. Music was a bit loud and the benches need a face lift. Hip place for lunch.
