Emma puts on a spread! The egg sandwiches are a must! The Pressroom shares their street patio! So awesome!
Excellent coffee and food. The atmosphere is cozy inside and there is also seating outside to enjoy on a nice day. And, the prices were fantastic! An excellent value right downtown.
The baked goods are great. The fruit tart was fresh light and crispy and not too sweet, just perfect. Coffee superb. Best of all they are served in real ceramic cups so I know they are conscious about good service and the environment unlike the franchises. Yay! We asked to hold the baked good until later when we finish sightseeing. They did so, excellent staff.
Great service. Really on point grilled cheese sandwich. Crispy bread, soft cheddar - mmmm. Excellent baked goods. The almond croissant was delicious. But the drip coffee was very weak and sour. They very generously replaced the drip coffee with a masala chai tea that was far too weak. There was maybe a teaspoon of loose tea in a 16oz cup. I would give them another shot. Could have been an off day on the drinks.
Beautiful
This place hands-down has the best coffee in Portsmouth. It is consistently excellent quality, The prices are very reasonable, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Emma always has a smile on her face!
This cafe brings depth to our community. I’m grateful for custom made cakes- thank you for enriching our town with real taste. Locals know your quality and we lucky to have you!
Great coffee. Maybe best Americano I've had i a while. Got some pastries, seemed a little stale. But would still try them again. Great service. Plenty of seating.
My husband and I are coffee lovers and this place was a must visit for us on our last trip to Portsmouth. I ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee and my husband ordered the German iced coffee. It was my husband's first time having German coffee and he really enjoyed every last sip. I really enjoy Vietnamese iced coffee and was looking forward to trying theirs. It did not disappoint! There are several coffee shops in the area. Make sure you give this one a try you will not regret it!
Been coming to vonsolln for years. Great spot and open later than usual for a cafe. I appreciate what they do!
Great food, great prices, great atmosphere, and most importantly, great beverages.
Best coffee around. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. So glad we discovered this gem of a cafe.
Amazing place! I usally hate coffe but wanted to try it because it smelled so good and I'm glad I did because the creme brulee latte is delicious! I also got a very good eqq sandwich on an Asiago bagel which is the best Asiago bagel I've had! Their London fogs are also 10/10!
Super good coffee and a cute (but busy) cafe seating area.
Always busy and always pleasantly quiet. A good spot to meet for a meeting or for a casual coffee date. The ambiance is “rainy day in Europe” in the best possible way.
Good coffee and pastries but the owner is a handful. As a daily customer its sad to support a business and be treated poorly. I've grown tired of the owner being disrespectful towards me for no reason. I wont ever go back.
Best coffee in Portsmouth (and honestly in new England!) incredible pastries and bagels. It feels like you’re in Europe. Fast and friendly service. The staff is always very kind and helpful. Love this spot :) !
Fantastic pastries and espresso. Staff are always friendly.
Fantastic coffee and bagels, reasonable prices!! Great atmosphere
Now that Cafe Brioche/BNG has been fully replaced by the downtown-destroying Tuscan stuff, Kaffee Vonsolln is the new coffee spot worth frequenting. Other places close too early and/or are overpriced. Between their later hours and good baked goods options, Kaffee Vonsolln should be your first stop for a coffee and pastry in downtown Portsmouth.
