Four amazing sorbets (vegan/non-dairy) and multiple great ice cream flavors. Great service. Small interior with nice seating. Street parking only.

Sadly we weren’t able to try Poppys. We are from the Northland and came to Lees Summit to try Calaveris. We wanted a small sweet treat after and went to Poppy’s. Parking was a challenge and we arrived at 9:03pm. The door was open and customers were still being served. A girl behind the counter immediately said, “We are closed.” I understand employees have lives too and want to get home or go out for a night on the town but it’s not like they had to prepare a meal and churn the ice cream. This establishment should talk with their employees about customer service. Having worked customer service for many years, I never turned anyone away. That’s dollars taken away from the small business owner.

Great portions, lovely flavors and an atmosphere you just can’t get at a nationwide chain. Can’t wait to try it again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The texture was good, but the chocolate hazelnut ice cream lacked in chocolate and hazelnut flavor, it tasted more like sweet cream

Highly regarded family owned ice creamery. Products are made in-house. Unique and entertaining choices. Staff are friendly and helpful. Great place to grab a treat and walk downtown.

6pm on Saturday and they were closed. Update your page! DQ on the corner saved the day!

This is my family's favorite place to come get ice cream. There are always new treats to try out, and the service is always great.

Excellent customer service. Fun flavor options. A big variety to choose from. It was great to get coffee and ice cream. Cinnamon bun ice cream was delicious. Cute interior tables and nice outdoor bench seating. Very friendly staff.

My girlfriend and I visited Poppys today (9-3-2022) after getting Pearl Tavern seafood because we wanted a little bit of ice cream. The lady inside helping us was very nice and very quick getting us our ice cream. We both got small concretes, I got a vanilla with cookie dough, and my girlfriend got a vanilla with smores, and they were both really good. I would recommend anyone come here to get a bit of ice cream. Especially if you're just walking around or you're in the area. we also got a take home tub to eat later. Very delicious ice cream.

I had a 5 scoop sampler. The sorbet flavors were amazing, the more traditional base (creamy) flavors were ok but not outstanding. The staff behind the counter were great -welcoming and helpful.

I personally didn't like the ice cream, but everyone else in my group loved it and I'm a pretty picky eater. The atmosphere was great and so was the service.

eh. it's alright. party had 2 double scoops of ice cream (4 total) and it was $14.xx +tip. If they would have delivered Italian level gelato then it would have been worth it, albeit at a price higher than the gelato right on the Ponte Vecchio bridge in Florence. I've bought Gelato all throughout Italy and continental Europe and this was pricier than all. The flavors were not intense, but mild. Not indicative of Italian Gelato in any way. For example, they didn't have a "Chocolate". While an actual Italian Gelateria will have at least a half dozen chocolate varieties. Decor is metal chairs outside, no umbrellas. Bare bones chairs inside look like they are from Red Racks. Also this place has a prominent "Hate has no home here" so they serve up leftist politics circa 2020 with their ice cream. What cause I'm not sure but I know better than to ask 3 women with high fades for clarification of their semi permanent political chalk sign. They were not unfriendly but I'd rather not mix politics with Ice Cream. This place benefits greatly from it's location and the fact that it's the only upscale ice cream place in Downtown LSMO. Ice Cream 3/10 (didn't get me sick). Price 1/10. Atmosphere 2/10. Too much for too little. Don't be a rube and overpay for atmosphere and no substance in Downtown LSMO. Upscale Alternatives: One More Scoop, Pleasant Hill Creamery Standard alternatives: Culver's, Custard's Last Stand, Andy's, DQ
