Noisy, very cold inside, not a great atmosphere. Food was fine.
Little things make big things. And all the little details made this a great place. The staff was efficient, the pastry was fun and delicious. Small breakfast/lunch menu but well done and satisfying.
My wife recently ordered a gluten free, chocolate cake for our daughter and son-in-law's 20th anniversary. She was able to speak directly with the Baker to tell her exactly what she wanted. We were not disappointed; nor was anyone else. It was excellent! I will be ordering again. No need to wait for a special occasion. Thank you Julia's.
Great local cafe with good coffee! The baked items looked amazing and the breakfast burrito was super tasty.
Great sandwich and desserts had Cuban and it was yummy lemon bar was great too
It may have been because it was the end of the day, but the pastries were nothing to write home about.
Cozy spot. Bacon, egg n cheese bagel was better than probably 95% of bagels you can get in NYC.. and I say this as a native NY’er of 30+ years. Gluten free options available and has some covered outdoor seating that our dog was welcome on. Wife’s pistachio milk latte was very tasty.
Updated menu, so many yummy options They have the best gluten free cookies and pastries in town!
Attended a Baptism party where Julia’s provided the food. Was extremely impressed on how fresh the sandwiches and fruit were. Never thought about Julia’s for catering but after this would highly recommend.
What an awesome café! The environment is friendly, relaxed, and clean. The team there is so nice. Friendly and eager to serve and make you feel welcomed and at home. But most of all... the food is delicious. I had a homemade ham and bean soup and roll. The soup was hot, perfectly seasoned, with a LOT of meat. Not like most soups where they skimp on the more expensive of the ingredients, A lot of ham! The roll was fresh, hot, and soft, served with a smile! Highly recommend this place!
Let me start with the coffee. Outstanding, bold, tons of flavor. And I take it black, so nothing got in the way of that aroma and flavor. Best in South Haven! I ordered a breakfast bagel: egg, cheese, sausage. It was good, but a bit boring. The egg, cheese, and sausage were fresh and delicious, but the bagel: just plain. Not sure if you get a choice of bagel, but I wasn't offered one. The bagel, itself, is what makes or breaks a bagel sandwich, right? I hope they add Everything or another option from a locally sourced bakery. I mean, why not make it the best around. Simple, get better bagels! Service was really great, and the atmosphere was nice. Kinda felt outdated, but still cozy, warm, and inviting. Note: I didn't try the pastries but they looked super good. Next time, I'll try those. Gonna have to give it a 4 on account of the plain bagel.
If you’re in South Haven, Cafe Julia’s coffee and food menu is just amazing. Don’t forget to try their pastries and other bakery goods too! Nothing like a latte and a fresh blueberry muffin in the morning. And the staff are all just so nice and friendly to their customers!
Went here twice within 24hrs. Yumazing! Had the vegan options like their Black Bean Wrap and the aioli was amazeballs. Also came for breakfast and had the avocado toast which was pretty good and the golden mylk...rocking!
The man on the phone was incredibly rude and disrespectful. It makes me uncomfortable to eat somewhere where people have no respect for their customers.
Sandwiches were pretty good. Service not as good as it could be. And coffee was bitter.
We love Cafe Julia for morning coffee, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches. No trip to South Haven is complete without it! Try the Jumbo Bagel Sandwich.
Good coffee but everyone seems to know it! We had a long wait for coffee and sandwiches. All were worth the wait though.
Stopped here on our way through Michigan for some coffee. Ended up getting the breakfast bagel sandwich and pasties too. The food was wonderful and so was the coffee.
I was given the impression this was more of a quick sandwich and coffee place. We waited a long time for sandwiches that were very good. I would not get any cupcakes there. The ones we got were so dry. The red velvet didn’t even have cream cheese frosting but a whole ice cream scoop of generic too sweet frosting on a super dry cupcake. We liked the atmosphere but for the price you pay and what you get is not worth it.
Yummy...jumbo bagel and avocado toast
