No public restroom here or anywhere in the entire plaza. We came to eat but being 8.5 months pregnant I can’t eat without a restroom beforehand (at least without being uncomfortable the entire time). We ended up leaving without even trying the food. A cafe should have a public restroom, it’s really a shame.

More like a 3.5. We needed a quick bite for the road. We got two sandwiches. The overall idea of the sandwiches was not bad though the main ingredients were so so. The chicken was reheated which is perfectly ok though the chicken had cold spots as well a fridge taste that certainly didn't help to enjoy the sandwich. The turkey was ok though sweet. This might be a one time off in our case since the overall ratings are solid.

We were watching an episode of "Best thing I ever ate". My husband and I (with our pug in tow) drove close to 6 hours from Buffalo , NY to sample many delicious things ( pizza with figs and arugula, chocolate bread, apple and chicken potpie turnovers, sourdough bread, reuben sandwich with a potato salad side , maple pecan shortbread cookies and ginger molasses cookies. We decided to stop at both locations while we were in the area. Everyone was very helpful. We met a very nice couple at the Housatonic location that transplanted from Virginia after their retirement to be closer to their daughter. We will definitely be back and will pass on our wonderful experiences.

I have some food sensitivities so I have to shop carefully. I have enjoyed the raisin spelt and whole spelt bread for years. I used to buy them at the Albany co-op, but they're often out of stock (nice problem). Now I order directly from the company. I order a few at a time and freeze them when they come in. Superb - toasted, with PB & J, butter, or plain. Also - tip o' the cap to the oatmeal pecan cookies. ONE IMPORTANT CAVEAT - although it doesn't say so on the website, it is NOT open for dine in.

I drove 1 1/2 hours to the Pittsfield location to purchase chocolate breads. Everyone is so friendly there! I pre slice a loaf so it’s always ready. Lightly toast and add peanut butter. OMG!!! Heaven. Thank you Pittsfield location ❤️

Words cannot begin to describe the pure disappointment I felt once I learned that Berkshire Mountain Bakery stopped producing the glorious gift to mankind: the kouign amann. The golden sparkle of kouign amanns made every gray, depressing day that passed, into one of jubilation. However, that ray of light dimmed into an eternal darkness. The kouign amanns are gone, and so too is my hope for man kind. If kouign amanns have millions of fans, I am one of them. If kouign amanns have one fan, I am that fan. If the world is against kouign amanns, then I am against the world. I ask for you to bring back kouign amanns, so that peace can return to the world. Thank you.

While traveling from NY to visit friends in Worthington, MA, we realized we had forgotten to pick up a dessert. We found the Berkshire Mountain Bakery online and called ahead. Even though it was after 5pm on New Year’s the helpful staff was able put together a nicely presented box of delicious treats for our hosts. We’ll done.

We get pizza or baked goods here regularly -- sometimes multiple times in a week. There many things we really love about this place, which is why we keep going back. The menu is creative and selections of pizza and pastries are all interesting and yummy. Aura is also great to work with in terms of ordering baked goods in advance, and she is especially skilled at making gluten-free options ***that do not taste gluten-free.*** We are a fan of the take-and-bake pizzas, and heating up pastries ourselves. Lately we've also been trying some of their prepared frozen complete meals, which have actually been pretty darn good! Really the only thing we're not crazy about is the coffee....but that's a minor sacrifice compared to the enormous pleasures we get from patronizing Berkshire Mountain Bakery.

They have great chocolate croissants, lots of other pastries, and various breads! A little bit more pricey than Dunkin donuts and the grocery store.

Saw it on Netflix, took a 2.5 hour drive to get there and i must say, it was worth it. Everything we tasted like from various types of breads to sweet treets to pizzas was an experiance for the pallet. A must must must try for all who know good bakery.

Love the bread and chocolate, great selection. Person taking our order seemed judgy when we asked if they carried Diet Coke. I know staffing is difficult all around so won’t hold it against them but maybe a little extra customer service training is needed.

I was really looking forward to receiving the breads and cookies I ordered from this bakery, as recommended on the series ‘Cooked’. I live on the West Coast. I am sure these foods may taste good the same day they are made, but I was reassured by the staff member that they last 5-6 days without preservatives, so I ordered for them to be shipped. All the breads (sliced loaves: Spelt, Sour dough, Whole Wheat) arrived very, very dry after a two day air shipment. At best I can use them for croutons or stuffing mix. I received the chocolate mini ciabattas as well, and they were tough and dry although the chocolate that was used was very tasty. The cookies (oatmeal) were not fresh as well, and did not taste good. I am not sure if it was the recipe, or if they were old. Unfortunately, I feel this purchase was a disappointment and waste of money.

After 3 years of alternating from traveling to Pittsfield, mail ordering this amazing sourdough bread, and embracing the Farmer's Market at Forest Park booth as the best of all 3 options, we are completed attached to this bakery. Make sure you watch Michael Palin's Netflix documentary Cooked, third episode to see why. Alas, Daniel, at the farmer's market is taking the winter off. So instead of mail order, we decided a day trip was in order. We found some changes: the cafe has no dine in available--COVID has attacked again. But we were able to get most of the breads we love. Some were out of stock on this busy, busy December 30. No time for chatting or even a welcome smile. We love semolina, sesame, seeded rye (out), raisin spelt, San Francisco sourdough, and Jalapeno cheddar ciabatas. We had never tried the apple turnovers. Since they had no almond croissants, we opted for this treat to have on the holiday weekend. I think we may have to move to Pittsfield to have these--weekly, if not more often. Wow doesn't quite describe these flakey, apple-filled delights. But wow anyway. We will probably mail order next time. But we can't get croissants that way, and probably not apple turnovers. :( And, since we can't eat at the cafe, even though all of their menu items are awesome, we may try the main bakery next time in Housatonic.
