Cute little coffee shop
Just happened across this gem on my way back from a roadtrip! The atmosphere was just fantastic. The owner has done a wonderful job with setting up a space that feels like a joy to be in and so welcoming. I didn’t wanna leave. The staff is so amazingly friendly and helped when we had no idea why to get!! I really love that they cater to people with dairy/gluten/ vegan restrictions too which is always great to know; my brothers knew favorite spot now! We’ll always stop by when in the area
I live very close by. My first time there today, awesome place and had a great latte. My wife and I will be walking our black lab up there on weekends for sure.
Love this little shop! Use to go to their location in Charlestown years and years ago! All the baked goods are EXCELLENT! Lattes are great! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Best breaky sandwich in Newburyport @olivescoffeeandbakehouse Open: year round Seating: inside and outside (out back) Parking: off-street (out front, on the side street, and parking lot out back) Order: Sausage, egg, and cheese on English. Egg and cheese and a bagel. 2 iced maple lattes $22 Pro tip: Take your breaky to Plum Island and walk the beach at low tide. Hunt for sea glass. Enjoy your Sunday morning for once. Pros: Olives bakehouse is very proud of the quality of ingredients they use to make their products in house. I didn't realize before this, that I've never had a from scratch English muffin. It was. So. Good. Bagel sammy was legit. Maple lattes blew my mind - highly recommend. Drumroll - The sandwich was the cheapest I could find in Newburyport. I didn't expect the best breaky sandwiches to also be on the normal priced side. 🫶 Thank you, Olives. For feeding us to the good stuff at a good price. Cons: They have baked goods, gluten free items just as delicious as the gluten stuff, and sometimes donuts, and 100% chance of a line down the side walk. It moves, don't worry. You're going to wait, and unfortunately you will most likely get pastries or brownies or cookies or cake pops or ... Other things to go even though you were only thinking about breakfast. 🤤
I want to say I saw what I was missing .because when I was always visiting upstairs I was asked to not go into your coffee shop. I really wanted to try it out I'm glad I finally got to try it out you have a beautiful atmosphere and very friendly staff. The coffee was great too very good selection of sugars and creamars I was very satisfied thank you

Cute pastry and coffee shop. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of standard pastry selections. Not many vegan options besides the vegan blueberry muffin. Wish they were more adventurous in the vegan area. A few GF options. With two long-standing bakeries already in Newburyport--as well as coffee shops--Olive's would do well to find a distinction that will allow them to a purposed destination. No indoor dining; take out only.
What is not to love about this place?! The food is out of this world amazing and the coffee hits the spot and comes out piping hot every time! They also cater to people with dairy/gluten/ vegan restrictions too which is always great to know! Will for sure be coming back for the friendly smiling faces!

I have been to Olive’s a bunch of times since they opened up. Since day one they have always been amazing! Staff is always super friendly, fast, and happy to give recommendations. I often stop by before or after classes, or before work. My most recent favorite drink has been the iced chaider. It’s the perfect amount of apple cider to chai ratio. If I’m not getting the chaider, I’m typically getting an iced caramel macchiato with oatmilk. Olive’s coffee is great! Way better than Starbucks or Dunkin. I would much rather support local to get a better tasting coffee. If you’re wondering about Olive’s baked goods. They are amazing! I’ve tried everything from the cinnamon rolls to the muffins. I’m not one that typically gets baked goods, but once in a while I will. My favorite baked good at olives would have to be the cinnamon rolls! If you’re ever in the area and looking for a small coffee shop/ bake house to stop at. Without a doubt do I recommend Olive’s coffee, you will not be disappointed at all.
