Had a pretty good breakfast at Perks Coffee & Cafe. Service was fast and the food was decent. I would go back if in the area, but would not go out of my way to eat here.
Quick service. Cheap prices. Friendly staff.
When you walk in no one greets you, cashier just stood there. I went in about 12:30 for shrimp and grits. I was told they were out and they wouldn’t be making anymore.
Great new place to eat and grab a nice breakfast.
Overall this place is fine. Cons: Prices are very high and do not match the menu. The scrambled eggs are just egg beaters- not good. Once I called in an order for pickup and they refused to hand it to me at the drive thru window. They insisted that I park and walk in the store although the drive thru line was empty. Hash browns are not fried, its just boiled potatoes. Bacon is not crispy. Pros: My coffee order is correct and tasty every time. Waffles are delicious. Their homemade biscuits are wonderful. I love the extra long, bendable straws.
The food was delicious and service was on point! We loved the outdoor seating as well! Thank you Perks ❤️
Every cup is made to order. Perfectly tasting. Nice variety of options.
Stopped by while visiting Nola. Ordered a Chai tea latte w/oakmilk. Customer service was good, and latte was good as well.
Their bowls are very good. Good coffee and good breakfast before a flight!
The Coffee at PERKS is great. Also their food is usually delicious for a coffee shop. Staff are helpful and kind. My family loves going to PERKS.
The little shrimp in the grits were way overcooked... I also learned that I hate the flavor of goat cheese! This is not a bad place at all, I just won't ever be ordering their shrimp and grits again.
This was my first visit and DEFINITELY my last visit here. I wish I would have read the reviews before I came this morning. Apparently, the highway robbery has been consistent for the past couple of months. You simply can’t justify charging these prices despite food supply increases. The food was bland and the coffee was subpar. The least you could do was match the quality with the insane prices! I could go to the Ruby Slipper for breakfast and pay less than $16! Unbelievable.
Overcharged for no reason. 18$ breakfast turned into 26$, manager had no decency to come explain this nonsense. Highly do not recommend this place.
Everything about this place checked all the boxes for me except for the food. I had the smoked salmon toast with an egg on top. I feel like if they had toasted the bread for just a bit longer this would’ve been a great bite. The edges were barely crispy. But then I had a couple bites of my partner’s hash wrap and had to stop myself from devouring the whole thing because it was so yummy. My coffee was some delicious caramel blend that I got as a recommendation of the lady working the register. Sweet staff. If it’s peak time, be prepared to scour the streets for parking, since there’s no lot attached. ***They have a drink menu that offers alcoholic breakfast drinks for cheap - I didn’t snag one, but I’ll be back to try that $3 mimosa.
Terrible first (and last) experience! Two breakfast platters and one coffee-$31! Menu looks pricey, but does not show actual price, unless you double it! Gave my mom bacon instead of sausage. Bacon was burnt, hash browns are just potato chunks and coffee tastes like the grinds! And don’t ask about the bread! 😖
Highly do not recommend. This place is severely overcharging for a quality worse than McDonald’s. Our order was wrong, we were asked to pull out of the drive thru line to wait for our meal which consisted of “toast” that was just white bread with grill marks, undercooked eggs, and anything other than what you actually ordered.
Cute little coffee shop style cafe with big restaurant plates. We had the California omelette with extra bacon. EVERYTHING was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Our food came out in less than 10 mins. We will be back next time we're in the area. The only thing I was annoyed with, but I didn't think it was worth taking a star away, was their lack of clear pricing. They have a small note at the bottom of their menu mentioning price changes due to inflation. The prices on the menu reflect the old prices, there's nothing crossing them out. It appears as if THOSE are the inflated prices. It's misleading. When I was expecting to pay $12.75 for an omelette, it was $16.75. And because they're tablet wasn't updated I didn't see my total till my card was ran and the order was placed. So what I thought would be a $30 breakfast for 2 was $50. That's a big difference. I think printing paper menus with new prices would be more efficient. If one someone goes in there with only a certain amount of money and doesn't know what they can afford ahead of time because they don't have the current prices prior to placing their order, it makes for an uncomfortable experience.
First time and went to the drive-thru and the cup that they gave me was like it was from a cheap convenience store.
Warning: Anything you purchase here will ring up higher than the posted price! The food is good, the drinks are good and the staff is friendly. Those are the reasons I begrudgingly return. The reason I don't return more frequently than I do is the blatantly dishonest pricing. They haven't updated their drive-thru menu board in years, and it's not some sort of high end thing. It's the sort of sign you can have printed for a couple hundred bucks at a sign shop. It's the same story with the website. Today I ordered an item listed as $7.96 on the website, and it was $10.06 (before tax) when I went to pay. They had the funds to open a second location a year ago, so I don't buy the argument that they can't afford to stay on top of the pricing better than they do. I guess other customers complained because they posted a little sign in the pick-up window that says "Until food costs stabilize prices will be different." The problem is that this has been going on for over 2 years here, and there's really no effort on the part of the owners.
Horrible food for expensive. Half our table was served their food and the other half waited an additional 40 minutes. Guests that came in far after were served before the other half of our table was. Once we finally had enough waiting, we tried to get a worker’s attention. The girl working while we were here (10:30-11:30 and going) (glasses and hair up taking orders with green shirt) heard my family trying to get her attention, turned her head, then continued walked back to the kitchen area. Everyone could tell she purposely ignored us. We the. Had to get up and walk after her. She never turned around, and we had to get another worker’s attention that was preparing food. We ended up getting the rest to go. The girl came back over and apologized for forgetting our other family member’s food, but it still doesn’t make up for this experience. Will never be back.
