Amazing brick oven baked bread. As far as I know, it's the only place in town to get an authentic baguette. The last time I was there, I think they had at least 20 different kinds of freshly baked bread. Their desserts are wonderful and the meals are excellent and reasonably priced.
One of the restaurant wonders of Kansas, famous for its bread and for a community meeting place!
The coffee; breakfast sandwich and scones were fantastic!
Good scramble egg sandwich ( add your own salt ) . Good coffee and cinnamon roll very good . ( Lady Bird was closed, so this was a decent backup on Monday). My wife said that the chai tea was tasty but never really Hot .
The chocolate mousse cake was phenomenal. The sandwiches were great as well.
Amy is sad and pathetic. I think she is tired.
Good B&G but $3.35 for two pieces of bacon is nothing short of theft.
So many breads and sweets from which to choose - not to mention the interesting soups, salads, and sandwiches! I ate 1/2 a really good chicken salad sandwich while my elderly mother enjoyed not one, but two macaroons.
The staff is decent. The customers are obnoxious, especially when they cut into the bakery line through the south entrance, or take your seating after you’ve set your stuff down. It’s like a Hunger Games vibe—not cool, peeps
The cinnamon rolls are wonderful for coffee dipping. The berry pancakes were delicious. I have enjoyed their biscuits and gravy for at least a decade. Never had a bad experience here. The coffee is also amazing. Can't say enough good things about this place.
They have the best breads, desserts and coffee options with a great laid back atmosphere to enjoy them in. Tavola Italiana approved! 🥰
Always a pleasure to stop at the local bakery offering breakfast and lunch menu options. A cozy place to eat and catch up on work. The staff is friendly and helpful. Don’t miss my favorite bakery and coffee shop in the area.
Wonderful apricot scones, biscuits and gravy, fresh baked bread and double chocolate cookies
Delicious. The bread on my mushroom melt sandwich was outstanding!
Very crowded and the quich and latte are ok, not great. The sandwiches do appear to be good. The deco are very artsy.
I moved here from California where I grew up on SOURDOUGH bakery bread… Wheatfields is the REAL DEAL! The flavor, texture and just the right amount of love! Wheatfields Sourdough, Sourdough Rye and Multigrain are my favs!! Their homemade pot pies are delish! Don’t get me started on their breakfast and lunch menus too! Their sandwiches are so good too! I visit Wheatfields 2-3 times a week!
Brought the family here for lunch on a Sunday. Line moved quickly and there were open tables. Staff was very friendly. We ordered the French toast, turkey/cranberry sandwich, the Normandy chicken sandwich (special), and a couple of grilled cheeses. The flavors were really good. Good portion sizes and the bread was delicious. Will be back to try their other offerings!
Never fails to impress. Food very good as usual and even though they were busy, the manager Amy (?) was very customer oriented. Excellent service.
Bakery items are very good. Ginger cookie is delish I asked for recipe, nope. Last Friday I decided to eat lunch there. First time. I ordered the Rueben sandwich. I had to look really really hard to find any meat on it. If you want a Rueben go to the Roost! It’s delish. When I pay $9 for a sandwich I expect it to be worthy of $9. Wheatfields was not, Roost was.
Wheat-fields is a nice cafe in a relaxing environment with some good food.
