Great place to host an event or just grab lunch and coffee with friends! Super incisive menu, friendly staff, and very cute decorations. Highly recommend!
S&S is a great locally owned business with food and a wide range of drink options including coffees, beer and cocktails. Service is great in a relaxing atmosphere.
Service was slow and disorganized. I was not given my drink until I got my food. Had I had my drink first I would have ordered another drink when my food finally got there . Great music though.
Last nite stopped by to listen to music & get a glass of Cava that was on their menu for $8.00. We were surprised, when the waiter brought it to our table, at what a stingy pour it was - small skinny cava glass barely over half full. We didn't get the bill so I paid at the register but didn't see what was being charged. I also paid a $1.15 tip. When I checked my cc statement later, I saw that they had charged $11.15! They must have charged $10 for the Cava! Really disappointing!
Clean, tasty food, and friendly employees
Always a good time at S and S! Here you will enjoy a soothing environment great for studying, conversing with friends, or grabbing a bite to eat. The service is welcoming with friendly smiles and helpful direction. The food was fresh with a variety of fruits and vegetables, and the lattes served hot and delicious for your morning pick me up! (I highly recommend the toffee nut latte and the chicken pesto sandwich).

Great coffee shop with a selection on alcohol as well. You can add some to coffee if you want or order the booze. The atmosphere is relaxed and low key. Pretty quiet and spacious.
Awesome, comfortable, inviting place. Food was exquisite and the bathroom was very clean. Service was impeccable. I would come back frequently if we lived closer!
Just out for a snack and we stumbled on this absolute GEM! Wish we had been able to spend more time with Saun & company. Such a cozy atmosphere, comfy couches, live music, and superb drinks!
My first visit was great. A relaxing and friendly atmosphere. Iced coffee was delicious!
Edit: I was SO excited for them to reopen but ultimately really disappointed. I know reopening a business is difficult but all of the things I used to love about S&S are gone. Iced coffee can only be made 12oz, almond milk and oat milk are $1.25 extra and as someone who is lactose intolerant that is outrageous for enjoying a latte without getting sick. Flavors are VERY limited and there are no sugar free options. Also, they do not take cash and do not open before 9am which is an unreasonable time when you have to be at work by 8. Very saddened and disappointed with the reopening and hopeful for some changes if they are going to stay open. My new favorite coffee shop in Lawrence! There is lots of space to study, the live music is great, and their food is good. The bar is also very fun, I like how they stay open late. Worth the visit!
Great vegan and vegetarian food. I'd go there even as an omnivore. Coffee holds up too. Wonderful classic coffeehouse environment, before for meeting friends in the neighborhood.

This is really the best cafe/study place/pub in Lawrence! Everything that you could possibly ask for (specially if you're a KU student) - you WILL find in this place! Great coffee, great music, great food with healthier alternatives, WiFi, quiet study areas, merch and lot more! I'm in love with this place. I stay right behind it so for me it's a complete bliss! Hope you continue your awesome service S&S!
This is my new favorite place in town! (Other than late night cookies at munchers..) Their chai tea latte is so good! And I was so happy to see they have lavender syrup. Plenty of beer on tap if you're looking for a quaint after work sip. While you're here, check out their menu and indulge! I can't wait to try everything on the menu and their other coffees. The tahini toast was a perfect snack!
Very relaxing inside...lots of healthy food options. This is a vegan restaurant. Beer on tap...lots of choices.
Unfortunately, we didn't get the great service, but the sandwich was really good. Lots of vegan options!!
