I really like the other Coffee Hound that's on Devils Glen Road in Bettendorf. I've driven by this location on Competition Drive a number of times (some trips to Hurts Donut and other places nearby), but hadn't actually visited the space yet. After a dinner tonight nearby at the Foundry, I decided to try this Coffee Hound for an after meal treat. The space is, honestly, the best I've been to yet amongst these newer buildings all around the TBK area. While the Coffee Hound hasn't done much with the ceiling area, which contains uncovered black painted wood framing, small accent lights, and exposed HVAC ductwork and other equipment, the space throughout the shop itself is much lighter and more welcoming, between its light wood tables and floorings, white and light green painted walls, and dog-themed accoutrements throughout. As a dog person, I really do like the theming of both Coffee Hound locations - so welcoming. Since I was the only patron in the cafe at this time of night, I was quickly helped by the barista, who assisted me in selecting a tea (ended up with the decaf ginger peach) and a baked good (slice of lemon loaf). Nothing much to say here - the tea was as expected for a Republic of Teas flavor, in that it was a good cup of tea. The lemon loaf was similarly sufficient - it was moist, citrusy, and sweet, exactly what I needed to cap off my night after dinner. The only downside to this visit (and not one rising to the level of downgrading the stars on this review) was the chair I chose to sit in has clearly damaged. I sat a lot further into it that expected. This really isn't Coffee Hounds fault and is definitely more on some previous idiot (or idiots) who sat too hard too fast and destroyed what was otherwise a nice looking piece of furniture sitting next to a delightful end table shaped like a barrel. The solution for future visits is simple - I know now to sit in one of the more rigid, yet comfortable chairs present throughout the space. I can definitel
Coffee is good. Plenty of options and many specialty drinks if you want to try something new.
Drive through was efficient. She was very friendly.
Heading home to Kansas and stopped at Hurts donuts, then here for coffee. Great service!! Great coffee and superb selection of hot tea!!
Was driving to Chicago from Iowa City and decided to stop at this fun little coffee shop off the highway. I wasn’t expecting much from a strip mall coffee shop but the coffee was great. We were planning on going to Hurts Donut next door to get some breakfast but we saw that they had breakfast sandwiches here. We got the #1 (sausage, egg and cheese biscuit) and the #2 (bacon, egg and cheese biscuit). My girlfriend and I agreed that these were perhaps the BEST breakfast sandwiches we’ve ever had and they only took a few minutes. I have had breakfast sandwiches all over the country and I hold these in the highest regard. Excellent work, Coffee Hound, I don’t know when I will be back but you will always hold a special place in my heart.
Awesome coffee and super friendly service! 10/10 would recommend.
The gal working the register was the nicest person I have ever met.
Great stop for coffee or breakfast! Clean and friendly. Breakfast sandwich and coffee were super! Definitely recommend stopping here. Other good food options nearby and a gas station to make a quick stop.
Delicious iced coffee! (Lavender white mocha). Very quick and friendly service. Sturdy cups that were the cutest! I loved all the drinks on the menu with dog names 😍🐾🐕🦺🦴
Me and friend went to the drive-through here, I got a lemon lavender energy drink and they got a regular iced latte. My drink was amazing, you could clearly taste the syrups in there, and the coffee was good especially the oat milk.
Different experience on i 80
Best coffee in the QC!
I went and got the Peanut Butter Pup which is a blended shake drink thing but was given a plain coffee with no sugar, I wouldn't be as upset if it at least tasted like peanut butter at all.
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS COFFEE HOUND!!! My favorite barista Leann B. works here after working her butt off at Dunkin Donuts! I didn't even realize she works here until I decided to try something different. She is the best and most dedicated worker ever! I will forever get coffee here now!
Very inviting atmosphere. A place to relax. Clean, reasonably priced.
Pumpkin chai latte hot. Yum
Good but drive thru was a little slow.
Great breakfast sandwiches
