Mhmmm
Lowkey, once the best places in Evanston to get a great coffee. I tried Rosmary sea salt caramel latte and it was beyond my expectations. New taste to me! The atmosphere is awesome! Highly recommended.
Been here twice, visiting from out of town. First time (2022) I set my bag and books down at a table, and asked to use the restroom and was told it was for paying customers only: which I was literally in the process of doing. Incredible coffee, cool atmosphere, but not great customer service. Now, in April 2023, I brought a bag of coffee to the counter, it was clearly priced as $19.99, but rang up twice as much, to my surprise; the baristas acknowledged they didn't know why it was priced this way but would not honor the price. I still purchased a different bag of coffee and it was, of course, amazing. Again, love the store, seems awesome...maybe just be prepared for some strange interactions 🤷♂️
The coffee is great here, it's a little expensive, maybe a dollar more than most places but good quality. The food is okay at best, and the atmosphere is great.
The people are nice and the bubble gum lemonade is amazing
Unique menu of hot and cold drinks, including some with house-made syrup, such as lavender latte. Vegan and gluten free pastry options. Pleasant lighting, seating options and green plants throughout the café. Friendly faces. They do what they do with care and creativity. Thank you!
This review isnt of the place, its of one of the coffees they serve. Which if you go there you will find I would suppose .I found this roaster by reading Coffee Review online and thought I would give them a try. I am drinking the Pacamara Collaborative and into my second cup. First impressions are that this medium to light roast is bright and very clean. Its a delicate coffee, not over roasted but taken to the perfect roast profile .It is really quite wonderful. Its actually a distinct coffee and is a cross breeding of two coffee trees ,the dwarf Pacas and the taller Maragogype tree. Its a creamy, full bodied coffee with so many beautiful floral notes. I drink coffees from all over and this is a very pleasant surprise indeed. The first thing I noticed were the larger size beans which is typical of this coffee. Yeah Pacamara and Reprise. You also get my vote for one of the most beautiful coffee bags I have ever seen on this planet. Great job Reprise and thank you for supporting the farmers in your efforts. As they have a right to live a life without poverty and get paid a fair price for their coffee.. Simply put, you folks rock. Update: I drink coffee from all over the world. Ive been to Intelligentsia coffee shop, Klatch and Vivace to name a few in my travels I also have as my main coffee, a shop close by Sunergos Coffee. Another stellar coffee house with master roaster...Deeds Burlager. I found this coffee at Reprise so enchanting I ordered four more bags. Good job Reprise. You are a great coffee house in my opinion . The Pacamara is a great coffee.Great coffee is no accident it takes a passion.
My new favorite coffee shop. It's really pleasant in here. The coffee is excellent, the staff are really nice, and they offer drinks (like the vanilla bourbon latte) that I've never had before and completely love. It has a warm vibe. They also offer a lot of pastries and a huge selection of bagged beans to take home. Glad they made it through the pandemic! Another awesome addition to Main Street.
Friendly personal
What an adorable and charming place! We really enjoyed the calm, relaxing atmosphere. We tried apple cider, which was great, and the beet root latte, which has a pretty unique taste and definitely worth a try. I would personally recommend opting for a plant based milk for the beet drink rather than regular, just for taste reasons.
Very pleasant neighborhood coffee house. Definitely visit again when in town.
Coffee is delicious. Update six months later: This place is now my favorite coffee spot in the Chicago area. Coffee doesn't need anything added to be awesome. Good tea too.
My absolute favorite little spot to hide out. Great coffee. And wonderful service. It's always very clean And everyone is super polite. Quin, Tyler ,and V are wonderful .... I hope I spelled all the names right
Reprise has award-winning pour overs among other fantastic warm fuzzy offerings and I'm privileged to live in the same neighborhood. I have frequented the cafe enough now that there's a reprise community of loving and kind folks <3
The best latte and mocha we've ever had in Evanston, make that Chicago, make that the US (live in Europe where coffee is so much better) Chill vibe, nice barista. FIVE +++ STARS
Refused to cancel my online order (and was nasty about it), never delivered the product and kept my money. Lots of negative grifting stories online.
My favorite bit is occasionally running into the sweet parrot named Lola! I love seeing her but I only encourage her presence insofar as it is healthy for her. LOVE YOU, LOLA!
I discovered Reprise while in Chicago visiting my daughter. I discovered quickly you must order from their menu - no special orders. At the look of dismay on my face, the baristas quickly recommended a latte they thought I was sure to be pleased with. Indeed I was! Absolutely perfect. Not too sweet or too hot. The employees (owners?) Were very nice, the vibe was calm, and I felt very comfortable sitting alone while looking out the window. Definitely recommend!
