Wonderful coffee shop in downtown Evanston. Clean, open, and comfortable. Great coffee and croissants. Staff was superb: cheery, attentative, and responsive. Worth the visit for coffee and pastries.
I love the lighting in the space. All white and natural wood color. The sitting tables are wide and comfortable. The coffee is also great. Because it is so popular, they have the one hour rule though: maximum one hour stay.
This coffee place is super clean and looks very modern. There are a lot of tables inside to sit and do your thing. There are also about 6 tables outside. The coffee and pastry felt just okay. Nothing to complain but also not fantastic. If you’re driving, there is paid street parking in front.
Best espresso drinks in Evanston--from the roasted beans to making the shots and steaming the milk to presentation, they know how to make the perfect drink. Modern atmosphere.
Flat white was fruity, mellow, and balanced. Great coffee.

Such a cute and aesthetically pleasing coffee shop! Coffee was about $9, so a little on the higher end but great tasting ground and super sweet staff.
Wonderful dirty Chai. Beautiful building and friendly staff. Stop by when in Evanston you won't be disappointed.

Great cafe, but both times I've been here wifi has been spotty at best, and I'm on a new macbook air. Either disconnecting or very slow, I don't expect to be doing file sharing, but would love to be able to at least be on Spotify or browse the internet reliably, deducted one star but otherwise a lovely place.
Nice clean atmosphere (everything is white). The almond croissants (5 stars) are to die for. Unfortunately the hot chocolate (1 star) was more like barely-not-cold chocolate and it wasn't very chocolatey. It was like the emphasis was on the foaminess rather than the chocolate.
Spectacular. Felt like I was in Europe. Swedish buns, Swedish vibe. Good music, not too loud. Good coffee. And I'm gluten free so the choice and quality here is really a nice surprise! So hard to find good gluten free. Love the one-hour limit on tables. Keep the cafe a cafe, not a library.

Best coffee I’ve ever had
Newport is, by far, the best coffee shop in Evanston. Their coffee tastes great and well extracted. Their pastries are also delicious, and the staff is incredibly nice. Now I personally buy my beans from Newport and I’ve produced amazing espresso at home!

Great vegan options!
We used them for our wedding and it was a total hit. They brought a coffee cart to our venue and served hot and iced coffee with milk alternatives! The baristas were incredibly nice, professional, and quick! I only dropped my review down to 4 stars because we did not get an invoice prior to the wedding. They confirmed via email that they would be there, but I was completely convinced they wouldn't show because I had not signed a contract. However, they did come and it was everything we hoped it would be!
