This is such an amazing place! We went for breakfast, and it was a bit unassuming. Our UBER driver was trying to search for it because it is in the lobby of a luxury apartment complex and a bit hidden. Would not have expected the food and coffee to be so amazing! Probably one of the best breakfast/coffee we've had in Miami over the last week!
I think if I pay almost $6 for a cup of coffee, wait for it at the counter, and either leave with it, or dispose of the cup myself, a service fee is ludicrous. I assume paying that includes the making of it, and sitting it on a ledge. If that warrants a service fee, maybe the cup of coffee itself should be like $4.00. I was recently there, (I live in The Flamingo), and ordered a 4 ounce coffee. I was handed a two ounce coffee. When I questioned this, I got ‘tude, an explanation that made no sense, and was made to feel like they were doing me a favor by adding to it, to make it 4 ounces. Even though I was SURE I knew what I was talking about, I still took the cup home and poured four ounces into it. You guessed it, that was twice the amount I was actually given. I also love that when I bought two latte’s the other day, the charge was more than posted on the menu on the wall. I was told those are the old prices. Too much! Only in Miami. Not everyone in Miami is clueless, wasteful, and/or rich. Also, isn’t it backwards to tip BEFORE you get the product and service? How would you know your satisfaction with the food or the service, and, thus, how much to tip, beforehand? So, this isn’t really a tip, if you pay upfront. It’s really just another way for a business to take more money in, and, IF, they distribute this to the staff, a reason to pay them less.
Amazing cute place tucked away with great food and coffee
Update in response 5/19/23-NO, 20% is not standard at a walk-up coffee shop/cafe. 18-20% is standard at a full service restaurant! A less toxic manner to solicit a tip is to let the customer select the tip from “no tip” to a maximum of perhaps 15% as this is not a service restaurant. Original post- I also am opposed to the auto added tip of 15%. The manager or owner responded to a previous review advising that 15% “is less than standard in Miami.” This is not true as one must order at the counter and typically I just carry my own beverage and/or pastry to the table or take it with me. There is no real service such as one gets in a sit-down full service restaurant. Recently, in order to cut labor costs or to increase employee earnings, some walk-up cafes have started adding a service fee. I’m not paying this fee. Sure, as the owner suggests, I could ask for the fee to be removed but that is very awkward. The coffee is good. The food outside of the pasties is not so good, at least not what I tried. One thing I tried was avocado toast served with scrambled eggs. The warm eggs with cold avocado did not mix well The service fee was added a few months ago so I have not returned except on one occasion, simply out of convenience. Also, there’s no sign noting the 15% service fee and a screen pops up asking if you want to tip with convenient (😂) preset percentages so one could tip twice if not informed. I will add that I was ok with the tip jar and usually left a dollar if I ordered a coffee or $2 if a meal. This seems reasonable and kind considering the service is minimal compared to a full service restaurant.
Perfecto para venir a trabajar, hay WiFi, enchufes, sitios para reunirse o trabajar desde el portátil. Tiene comida saludable y precios económicos y un servicio muy simpático 💕 Me ha encantado !
Such a BEAUTIFUL space. Whomever designed the interior was genius! The space, flow, colors and amazing foliage gives all the right vibes. Baristas are very skilled and served up a fantastic dirty chai and matcha latte. ☕️🌿🎨
Good coffee, not many tables, no real table service even though they force a 20% tip, average food. I won't be coming back.
Leckerer Kaffe gemütliche Sitzmöglichkeiten und Arbeitsplätze. Sehr nettes Personal.
Wonderful service, coffee, and croissants. Place is very dog friendly and excellent to spend an afternoon working in. Can’t wait to come back
The place is cute, quiet and nice. The only problem for me is that every time I come the service is super slow. I always order a smoothie and takes sooo long.
Genial
Great place for coffee and getting some work done.
The waiters don’t understand English and make assumptions giving you something else instead of what you ordered (this happened 3 times) The food was cold and probably prepared way before.
Beautiful place and excellent attention!! And the employee Mili who surprised us with an exquisite coffee!! I'll be back!
Underrated breakfast spot. Great food and its perfect to do some work on a laptop. It’s quiet so it’s easy to focus and enjoy your meal. Highly recommend!
Good for a coffee. Not good for breakfast food.
Excellent place, their pinar de piña is very good. Kyara and Milli were nice people, good workers. I will be back soon
The only reliable cafe to work from on Miami Beach (as far as I know) Wifi is good & ample space (2 floors and patio). The coffee is good/powerful and most food options are tasty. The baristas actually seem to like their jobs unlike every other coffee shop in the country - they are happy and make you feel welcome. Only cons for me is the music can be loud sometimes and the decor is a little too pink for me but that’s not a big deal haha
Siempre me a gustad,o este lugar pero el día de hoy me han dado un mal café más agua que café y solo una persona atendiendo como a 20 personas.
Great hipster coffeeshop . Specious . And they have treats for dogs
