It’s a huge bummer because I really liked this place but my sister got a wrap with a Band-Aid in it, which she proceeded to accidentally get a mouthful of. I watched her face twist in horror when she realized what she had in her mouth. We called to tell them what happened and they were totally unapologetic about it. Probably can’t go back now even though this is the closest breakfast place to us.
Lovely and amazing baked goodies. Perfect place to sit outside and enjoy the day, too!
My party of 17 was looking for a breakfast spot in Bethany Beach and this is all we could find. Good food, but no room for a large party. Also, they seemed highly annoyed that we were there. I would not recommend if you have small kids.
This place has the best damn sandwiches in all of Bethany… so ridiculously good!
Wonderful little spot. Great food: baked goods and sandwiches. Tiny inside and so busy. They are popular and need more space and more help.
Very good bagels (for not being in NY) and sandwiches. Would be 5 stars but a bit pricey for a breakfast counter service place.
Do yourself a favor -- order a breakfast sandwich AND a muffin. Have yet to get a muffin here that I didn't love!
It is so refreshing to have a true bakery with delicious, freshly made goods to enjoy! Whenever I am in town, this is my go to breakfast destination. And, given the line out the door, I am not alone. It is worth the wait to enjoy a delicious breakfast sandwich, or a fresh baked pastry or muffin, with a cup of coffee. My only disappointment is how impatient, and at times rude, a handful of customers can be to the hard working staff. I look forward to the friendly smiles I receive every time! Thanks for getting up early to make my mornings special!
The food is very good but overpriced, coffee is not good (they could use a barista and espresso bar), the owner and staff can be very abrasive.
Food is DELICIOUS. love the muffins and scones and sandwiches. The reason I knocked them one star is because the cashier told me it would be a 20 minute wait and I was waiting on two sandwiches for over an hour. Great spot but don’t go if you can’t wait that long because that tends to be the case when I’ve went

More than an hour-long wait FOR TOAST. No explanation upon ordering how long the wait would be. After waiting so long, we wanted to just leave and lose the money!
We have gone to Beach Bakrie for years. Locally owned with consistently superb service and delicious breakfast food selection. The staff is consistently pleasant and gracious.
I placed my order with little to no line in front of me and ended up waiting for about 40 minutes to get 2 bagel sandwiches to go. I stood there and watched as the teenagers running the place ignored me the whole time so I finally asked if one of them could check on my order as I was waiting a really long time already. They then said my order would be next, but then I watched about 5 more orders go out until I finally got mine. I would recommend having some kind of manager or supervisor in the shop to better manage things like this, as I definitely will not be back or recommend this spot to anyone because of the poor customer service. I would also add that it was super disappointing to see them using plastic bags and plastic carryout cartons for the baked goods. In this day and age that is just ridiculous and had I known that I also would have thought twice about even stepping in the door. Overall the food tasted good but the poor service and line/customer experience far outweighed it.
I visited this place while in Bethany. I'd like to politely invite this place to require more training in customer service. While the food was fantastic, customer service was terrible . I don't ask for much. But the following needs to be addressed as I will not be returning. 1. The front counter was unprofessional. Their demeanor was unfriendly. And very clumsy. Wear gloves ladies. Correct me if im wrong, but this girl had one thing to do for me. Ring up a sandwich and a muffin. How she could have missed her error is beyond me. But the sale continued UNTIL i questionned her. Im frankly quite disappointed . I had been charged $28 for a muffin &wrap. She would not re do the transaction. She insisted I take cash back. And dismissed me. Not OK!!! Learn how to treat ur customers!!
Unbelievable how slow the service is. Took over 45 minutes for two bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches and not a massive line of patrons to warrant the delays. Was told they didn’t have iced coffee by one person while other people were able to purchase. Staff is more interested in talking to their friends than doing their jobs. Wildly inefficient it was almost comical. Sandwich was definitely not worth the wait.
Great place to grab breakfast in downtown Bethany Beach. The backside of the cafe has outdoor seating with most in the shade.
Gosh, this is my favorite place for breakfast food like bagels, muffins, etc. It’s actually a bakery that bakes things. The muffins, scones, cinnamon buns are all fresh and are all amazing. The drip coffee is good. My only wish is that that had espresso drinks to complement the amazing baked goods. The interior is small and suffers only from being a little too small to bake, cook, and make coffee. The exterior patio makes up for it and is the best place to eat breakfast and chill in the morning. Best part is that the exterior patio is shaded and dog friendly.
Wonderful bakery by the beach with delicious muffins! Staff was friendly and upbeat. I came in after they had closed and they were still willing to provide me with a muffin!
