stopped in and was so happy. The coffee is so good and I was able to let my dog stretch his legs on the patio. Cute shop, dug the vibe!
I love how friendly and helpful everyone is here and how absolutely delicious everything is! From coffee to bagels, you seriously can't go wrong. The Cafe mocha coffee is just to die for and I definitely found my new spot. The coffee is fresh and made to order and not bitter or burnt tasting, which seems hard to find these days. I have so many good things to say about this place and now, I'm actually looking forward to waking up early just to head over for a piping hot cup of coffee (and a bagel)!
I wanted to like it but the food needed salt and the bread was like rubber.
The food and coffee is good, but it would be nice if the people working there didn't wear tank tops exposing their arm pits all over the food. Not a fan of the leniency on the dress code. Tank tops and short shorts should not be allowed. Period. And this is coming from someone who has worked in the food industry for years. We do enjoy the food though. Not many places to get decent food in montrose.
The bagels are amazing! And so many options for both breakfast and lunch. Lots of coffee drinks and smoothies too. We could eat here everyday and not get bored. Top notch!
This spot is an absolute gem! I haven't lived in Montrose for 10 years and I still make a point to stop here when driving through. Bagels are the best I've ever had. The coffee is really good too. Whatever fresh baked goods they have always are a delicious. They've been consistent all these years.

Stumbled upon this family owned breakfast joint after hearing rave reviews about it from friends. Staff makes you feel like family, and every bite of my everything breakfast bagel sando had me declaring “THIS is the single best bite of breakfast I’ve ever had.” I can tell the owners pride themselves on using only the most quality of ingredients, without skimping on quantity. My husbands Roast Beef sandwich was piled high with incredible shaved meat, and we made sure to buy a bakers dozen bagels to take home (we froze them to preserve their freshness, as they HAND MAKE them daily with no preservatives or fillers). Can’t wait to drive through Montrose once again to visit this Crown Jewel of Southern CO!
I live in Denver, but am always excited when travels take me through Montrose exclusively for the fact that I get to pickup bagels and coffee here. Fantastic lattes, and by far the best bagels I've had most anywhere. The bagels are fresh with a wide variety, the bagel and wishes are delicious and filling, and the service is always on point.
Backstreet bagel has delicious food and excellent service. It’s located in a beautiful space and the entire experience was excellent. This is the best place to eat in Montrose!
Was in there today for lunch around !:30, know they were getting ready to close, anyways, it was the worst chicken salad I've ever had there, dry and no flavor at all, usually they are delicious. When I told the gal, all she said was sorry. no in store credit no compensation at all, for 10 dollars a bagel you would think something would be done. Anyways very dissapointed and won't be going back anytime soon. We ate inside

Extremely friendly staff who appear proud of food they sell. They should be. Located on a very busy highway 550 near the airport you could easily drive by and not know it was here. Take the time to find it and stop. Serving breakfast and lunch bagel sandwiches along with flatbread sandwiches this is topped off with excellent coffee. I drink a lot of coffee in the cappuccino I ordered an excellent flavor and wasn't just a bunch of hot milk. I ordered the Reuben bagel sandwich and it really hit the spot. It was fresh and the meat was very lean and delicious.
Bagels were good and the lady who took my order was very nice and generous. The problem was I ordered a latte and the kids made it way too hot when I took a sip it burnt my tongue and almost spit it out.
Stopped for breakfast in a horrible snowstorm! Breakfast bagels and coffee were so delicious before making our way home. Thank you.
