Good food and coffee... but oh my gosh so slow
Redid the menu and removed one of my favs— quinoa bowl — and basically stealthily raised their prices again. No prices on the croissants. Nice ambience but they you off so I will come less and less.
I love the location, the English Breakfast loose lear tea, and the artisan food.
Service decline End of Season Poor quality Oatmilk > taste & a lot of unhealthy oils > ruins taste of lattes Better to avoid Coffee Bar Jibboom Street Truckee, at least End of season. There are several great coffee shops in town - 1. Wild Cherries - coffee drinks, a great bakery, smoothies, ALWAYS friendly 2. Zuris - Baked Goods and coffee 3. Cornerstone Bakery - coffee drinks, seating and good baked Goods. 4. Dark Horse coffee - quiet place to study / local roaster 5. Drink Coffee Do More Stuff - quiet place to work 6. Starbucks at Safeway - quick service 7. Raleys has great coffee drinks, smoothies, açai bowls, pressed juice with relaxing upstairs lounge with outdoor patio! 8. Cornerstone Bakery - coffee drinks, seating and good baked Goods. 9. Dark Horse coffee - quiet place to study / local roaster 10. Drink Coffee Do More Stuff - quiet place to work 11. Cant say much about the food as I didnt have any but came here all three days for coffee during the afternoon. It is local and off the main strip in downtown Truckee. Youll find it nestled in the back street of Jibboom next to a well curated outdoor clothing retailer that just opened a year ago. Seating outside is ample and indoor is cozy. I like there variations of flavored Lattes but my go to is the Americano. Go get yourself an espresso after a couple hours on the strip before heading back to the cabin. Its a great way to decompress.
The staff was not friendly or inviting. We had to say hello to them before we were ever greeted and we were the only people in there. Today is earth day and they charged us an additional $1 to use paper to go cups? The $ was donated to an environmental cause but we didn’t appreciate not having the option to donate and it being required. They said we wouldn’t be charged extra if we stayed and drank the coffee in house but we had to get back on the road. All for the coffee to not even taste good— they were watery and we could hardly taste espresso. I was excited to show my bf this place as I had good experiences in the past but this turned me off from coming again.
Love this place and the chorizo burritos! Great atmosphere and lovely workers
The coffee here is good and the food is decent but the bathrooms… the bathrooms are disgusting. One of the bathrooms looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in weeks, there is a broken… something?..In there. The floors are gross and overall its just an unpleasant experience in a place that charges $7 for a latte. I would have sent this message privately if there were a contact email online.
Great matcha, hot cocoa, and mocha.... Decent sweet selection too! Friendly staff.
Picked this place on a whim on our way back from the Donner Museum and it didn't disappoint! The honey almond latte was delicious. Foamy, subtle, and not too sweet like other flavored lattes. Service was a bit slow, but it was a holiday weekend in a tourist town so I can understand.
Worst cappuccino I’ve officially ever had. Watched her spill half of it then put the milk in. Tasted like water and milk and waited 20 minutes for it 👍🏻
Chill atmosphere and tasty drinks. I recommend the Fall Spice Apple Cider if you prefer a sweeter drink.
Super cool spot with a laidback vibe. Cool art. Lots of delicious veggie options. Croissants are huge. Chai is amazing 👍🏼
People are nice, Coffee is really good, and I love the atmosphere here
Exceptional coffee, service and food! Their espressos and lattes are on point. Avocado toast was perfect with fresh and full ingredients. Great service. Anyone who loves good coffee and is in the area should stop by. Will be coming back
Cute spot, friendly staff and good vibe. We ordered two coffees, a granola bowl and a veg burrito. Taking higher food costs and inflation into account, both meals were surprisingly spare for the price. The burrito was small and resembled more of a panini press type of wrap. Knowing this I probably wouldn’t go back for the food. Coffee was okay. I think we just expected a bit more considering the high cost.
Very nice cafe. Friendly people. 10/10 would try again
Super good coffee and their tomato soup and grilled cheese is amazing!
Used to love this place, but the people now working there have ruined it. The drinks come out flat. They are severally delayed. Most of the time lacking the ingredients. It’s truly a shame what has happened to them. If I owned this place I’d be ashamed.
Coffeebar is a must stop in Truckee! They are great for a quick pick-me-up, of course, but my favorite thing is to order one of their specialty drinks (which are always delicious and well-made) and sit for a while to read, write, or enjoy the ambiance of their space. Highly recommend!
