I have had better "deserts" on board a naval ship, which was hydraulic fluids drizzled on my brownie than the cookie I got from this place. Yes, I am aware of the prices in Solvang, but you get at worst decent tasting pastries in this area, but this cookie was a sorry excuse of a pastry. It was dry, flavorless, it exploded like a grenade when bitten, and it smelled like eggs. Save yourself the time and money go somewhere else.
This place had the best pastries we’ve had in Solvang (better than Olsen’s). The staff was super friendly, anticipating our needs, and the choice of pastries were unique. We had the Solvang Croissant Tart and the Almond Danish, and greatly enjoyed both! They weren’t too sweet, just perfect!
The coffee drinks (lattee etc.) are from an automated machine, not a barista, just to be aware.
Coffee and pastries were great!
Baklava is quite delicious!
Got a Almond Danish & double almond florante which I throughly enjoyed. Didn’t really like the Turkish delights I got. They’re pricey but have really good pastries. Recommend carrying cash as they charge 3% for credit cards.
The most delicious bear claws, almond danish, cinnamon twists and cannoli. This family stayed open Christmas Eve and Christmas Day til after 9 pm to serve the hundreds and hundreds of people waiting in line to take his goodies home. Me included. Took about 30 minutes, but it was so worth the wait. Fresh and warm as they continued to bake throughout both days. The only bakery in town open and willing to serve the masses.
Waited at Esko's for a good hour to get some coffee and a couple of Danish. We also got the Swedish Clogg, Solvang Hot Ginger Clogg and Grandpa's Steamed Hot Chocolate. Every drink was too sweet even overpowering cinnamon. The Danish Cream Cheese was okay. We picked up a jar of cookies. Don't know how it is going to turn out.
we had feta savory cheese pie and cannoli pistachio ... it was so fresh and best of best . the americano coffee was so yummy the tast is still in my mouth...
Great service but red velvet cheesecake was so dry that I had to trash it…. Sorry but not the spot
Pretty good place for pastries and coffee is really good and strong just like I like it. Very friendly staff.
Stay away from this place . They have expired drinks/coke products for sale on the shelf . Told the cashier lady about it and she says “ yes , I know but my boss wont let us throw it” . Stay away from this place and if you happen to come DO CHECK THE DATES on every products they have . Owner was rude as well
Terrible service
Fresh pastry, smell attract is from street
It’s a neat souvenirs shop with plenty of cute selections in magnets, Christmas ornaments, etc. to choose from. I bought a bling key chain for myself. It’s a fun shop to see so many things in a shop!
Horrible place. Don't bother.
The Macron Ice Cream was such a unique combination! Tried the mango flavor and it was amazing! Definitely worth a try!
By far the worst place we’ve been too. We went in to get some dessert and after waiting in a very long line the owner/manager got very frustrated and kept pushing people out and yelling at everyone saying that ‘’we are closed leave the place right now’’ ‘’ I’m not going to serve anyone else leave right now’’ He practically threw out his customers and closed the door on our faces. Stay away from this place.
Was waiting in line patiently, the owner came and threw all of us out yelling and screaming. Not sure what was wrong with him, just yelled it I can't handle this. Will never go there again.
It was ok. A little expensive, $6.50 for a small scoop of ice cream. It was the only ice cream place open after 8pm so we had no choice.
