i had the solvang toast and blueberry lemonade today and after i got done eating it my head and stomach started to hurt. then i literally barfed everything up. the food was okay, but fs pricey. but idk something is sketch here, i was perfectly fine before eating so fine with caution
Baklava for days, vegan ice cream coffee such a humble area the menu is excellent with a wonderful variety of options and flavors I highly recommend taking a seat around the grotto
Very pleasent atmosphere. Great sadwiches, a kunafa ( middle eastern desert) that melts in your mouth, among other delicious pastries, smoothies, juices and coffee. Did I mention the icecream?
The owner is 1000 percent customer service oriented. I will keep coming back every time just because he was so accommodating to us. This place has so much variety, our breakfasts were delicious and we didn't have to wait in line for hours. Don't waste your time in line, just head straight over here!
The latte we ordered was surprisingly good. Baklava was also one of the best ones I have had. Crispy, fresh, not overly syrupy or sweet, all just the right amount. The pricing is also very fair for such a decent coup of coffee and sweets. The seatings outside are also cozy and pleasant to enjoy.
We had decided to eat here because the menu looked great, until we saw peanut butter on the kids menu. With a son with food allergies, this is a no go. Kids are super messy, and peanut butter ends up on everything. I hope the restaurant considers changing to sunbutter in the future. Edited to add that restaurant replied back. But instead of considering a change, they complain about the stars. I guess the one star will stay 🤷🏼♀️
We passed by this place before heading back home and it was incredible. So many options to choose from! Delicious matcha latte and baklava pastries.
Coffee. Handlebar Roasters, Gibraltar blend. (Macchiato, +bag). Blends are rated on a higher scale as they are manipulated to achieve a desired profile. I will definitely return to experience a Single Origin.
This place is fantastic and their Nutella baklava is divine. It's a bit pricey but you get what you pay for!
We visited here at the recommendation of another local business owner, and came back the next day for seconds of the coffee and pastry. A very pleasant independent coffee shop with really good coffee, also authentic Turkish coffee, and freshly baked baklava. The owner and the pastry chef are helpful and friendly. I wish there was a place like this in my own neighborhood in Portland.
Cafe Dolce has the most amazing Baklavas I’ve ever had. The staff is friendly and helpful. Come here!
DO NOT GO HERE!!! The owner screamed and yelled at my elderly mother when she got in line to order coffees and desserts because she had a sandwich from Paninos (great sandwich shop next door) in her hands. He proceeded to kick her out and told her she can't come back since she had already bought something from somewhere else. She didn't know what to do. She was so frightened and embarrassed because he did it in front of everyone standing in line. She apologized to him (I definitely wouldn't have) and asked soo sweetly if she could just order a couple coffees and desserts. He said NO!! GET OUT!! NO COFFEE FOR YOU!! SHAME ON YOU! You are a miserable disrespectful man. To scream at a woman for absolutely no reason and kick her out. I will never go here and I will tell everyone I can of your pitiful shop. You are a weak little man that can only feel strong yelling at a woman.
Everything was incredible!! We had the Mexican Cocoa latte and hazelnut latte and they were both so silky and SO tasty! For breakfast we ordered the bacon and egg burrito and the ham and egg sandwich, eggs cooked to perfection and everything had so much flavor, including the tasty salsa. To go, we got a green smoothie and a green juice, and they were both so yummy and refreshing. And I can’t forget to mention the baklava that they gave me a sample of!! Hands down, BEST BAKLAVA EVER. Perfectly flaky and crunchy, and not overly sweet, it was the perfect proportion of honey 🤤👌🏻 we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Solvang!!
Ordered the ham sandwich and the bacon burrito and they were both amazing. Eggs cooked perfectly! To go we got a Mexican Cacao Latte and Hazelnut Latte that were so tasty. Two thumbs up!
Everything Sam serves is amazing-the coffee is excellent (have anything with espresso), the baklava is made there and delicious. His breakfast sandwiches are also delicious. I see a lot of reviews about the owner being rude; if Sam was in NYC, he would be famous. He’s hilarious and contrary to any contrary posts, he’s a very nice guy and works hard to make good food and drinks.
Be careful when ordering. The price may go up when you aren't paying attention. The sign outside advertised that the turkey brie sandwich is 13.99. Inside on the menu it is advertised for 14.99, they tried charging me 15.99. I called him out on this and the price was corrected. This happened yesterday on 2/12/2023.
The best bakery, espresso, sandwiches, and gelato in all of Solvang!!! Quality ingredients, exceptional taste, and accessible pricing!!! A must if you are in the area!!!

I was in Solvang for 6 days and came here every morning for the BEST coffee EVER. 35 grams caffeine per cup, tastes fantastic…baklava, amazing assortment of fresh squeezed juices, smoothies, boba teas, breakfasts, lunches. This place has a really cool, special vibe. The BEST thing happening in Solvang!
