Really enjoyed the pastries. Not too sweet. Perfect start to the day.
Delicious pastries and quite a good selection.
Great customer service and suggestions. Fantastic sandwiches on freshly made bread, freshly squeezed lemonade, and delicious pastries. Also has a coffee bar and other deli options.
Great family owned business- there are touristy places and then there are places that are community institutions. This falls squarely in the later. While there with my family we saw a “Breakfast Club” - they had a reserved table with a sign that said it was for a few grumpy old men and a lovely lady who comes in between 9-10. The pastries were wonderful- not too sweet and paired great with the hot chocolate the kids had. I had their fresh baguette with butter and homemade jams. It was a slice of Danish heaven.
Excellent sandwiches and salad. Attentive staff.
Yummy pastries and coffee!
Very tasty pastries, reasonable price, friendly staff, and amazing coffee. Highly recommended.
Great sandwiches and amazing pastries! Super friendly service too. :-)
Everyone at work loves when I bring a tub of cookies from here. :)
Nice selection of flaky,, buttery pastries and bread
Traditional Danish bakery with a wide assortment of pastries, biscuits and breads. It’s our to go place when visiting Solvang. They have indoor and outdoor seating but gets pretty packed during tourist season. Best is to make someone sit at the table before you order. PS: they have illy coffee!
Rated as the best bakery in Solvang town, there is lots of variety in breads, pastries, sandwiches, coffee etc and nice seating too.. A genuine Danish gourmet treat.
Excellent danish and eclairs. Best coffee in town and non dairy cream available. Wonderful staff!
We came here because it was rated top on Yelp and Google reviews. To be honest, this place does not live up to the hype. We ordered cheese danishes to compare against other bakeries in the area. When we asked to have the pastries warmed up the man at the register told us it was impossible to warm it up and came off very upset that we would ask that. We found this kind of strange since every other bakery was able to warm up the pastries. Overall, the pastries were delicious but not as good as other places because they were cold. Having it warmed up gives it that cherry on top to make it even more enjoyable. I would not recommend this bakery because of the interaction we experienced with the gentleman behind the cash register.
We were ready to order coffee. The eager young man behind the counter asked what he could get started for us. We ordered, my daughter paid while I got something at the bakery counter. I came back to the coffee counter. The young man was nowhere to be seen, coffee was not made, and no one was making it. An older man, with gray hair on his face, and a serious negative attitude, asked me what I wanted, and I asked where the young man, who claimed to start making our coffee, was. The older guy looked at the receipt hanging on the espresso machine, and rudely said, they'll be done soon. The girl behind the counter finally made our coffees. She was very kind and sweet. The older guy need not be tending to the public or change his attitude. The pastries are not memorable. Go somewhere else.
Came in because of the reviews. watery americanos and very bready cinnamon rolls. Pretty disappointing.
Delicious Danish Waffle! Crispy Flaky even layers sweet and tasty
OK.. for a 70 year old bakery. We got a bear claw and a cherry Danish. To dry for me. Wife also said OK on the bear claw.
Nice little bakery; very nice attention; coffee was great
Amazing food and excellent customer service! This is a must stop if you're ever in Solvang. Try the hard roll with butter, havarti and ham!
