I'll start off by saying, I love Peet's Coffee as a chain. Their cold brew is my favorite, and if I have a choice of where to get coffee, it will be here. That being said, there is something wrong with this location. I don't know if it's poor management, short-staffing, poor training, or a combination of all of them, but my order is wrong here nearly every time. Twice, I have ordered a black drip coffee, and the coffee was so light that I could see to the bottom of the cup. The first time, I was fortunate enough to catch it before I left. The second time, I was in a rush and didn't notice until I was already driving. I had to stop in Castro Valley, where the barista happily replaced my coffee and showed her co-worker how bad it was. I am not the only one who has had these issues. My wife once ordered a cold brew with two pumps of their peppermint syrup. She was given a watery cold brew with no peppermint. When my wife asked for a new drink that matched her order, she was given a cold brew with one pump of peppermint syrup but no ice. She handed the drink back and asked for another pump of extra syrup, which was provided. She handed back the drink a third time and asked for ice, at which point the barista visibly rolled her eyes. I understand the frustration of having a drink returned three times, however, if it was made right the first time it would not have been sent back. Other order mishaps have been pouring the wrong drip coffee (Major Dickason blend instead of the Holiday blend), giving a Bacon Frittata instead of a Bacon Brioche, and overall poor customer service. The purpose of this review is not to be angry. I simply want Peet's to know of these issues at this chain in order for them to be resolved. I hope in the near future I can change this review. In the meantime, I will be driving to the Crow Canyon location.
Worst service! 3 people standing there no one helped me! One of them said I can’t get ur order, the other guy who was supposed to get my order was filling the coffee machines, and wouldn’t even look at me!
Restrooms are closed, large coffee is really small
Nothing really wrong, just a pretty average chain coffee shop experience. They were a tad short handed, but that's not on the employees. Biggest issue is that they're more set up for mobile orders and not ordering in person as much anymore.
No one is working at the cash register
Not happy 😔. The restrooms are closed, there's a sign stating employees only. My 80 yr old mother needed the restroom I guess they don't accommodate older adults. Ageism once again, apparently they expect everyone to purchase their food and drinks, but hold off going to the bathroom and force their customers to go somewhere else
Very slow, understaffed
I've been here about 10 times now and every time I feel frustrated with how slow the team moves. Nothing against the team, but I can tell the manager needs to get more hands on with training new staff.

The register staff could use a CS refresher course. Otherwise the place was fine

Employees are great! Neighboring business employees/owners take up the parking spots in front which is annoying. Forget parking during the Farmer's Market. People like to bring their dogs inside here.

Cannot stand coming here! In the age of COVID this places ventilation is so broken that the windows are consistently fogged up. Wrong to the employees and the customers. Management needs to fix this.
I have just experienced the worst customer service, clearly she needs coffee or something to alleviate her poor & impatient attitude. Young petite yet solid size Oriental lady you need to learn some customers service; it's not my problem if we cannot hear clearly throug masks with such loud music. Your rolling eyes and mistaken my orders demonstrate that you have problem. I usually have very friendly service here but this morning, Nope.
Good coffee, but slow staff. They seemed to run around looking busy but doing little.
Similar to regular coffee franchises, but richer in flavor.

I visit this Pete’s coffee quite frequently. I was going to Starbucks but I discovered I like the coffee at Pete’s better. The app is reasonably easy to use once you figure it out and you can tip the barista‘s easily compared to Starbucks. The employees are really nice. Once I was in a hurry and I scheduled the wrong time to pick up my coffee and some snacks and when I went in they went ahead and rushed it anyway so I can get to my appointment on time. I went back later and even before I could tell them they said last time you were here or you forgot your pumpkin bread and we were hoping you would come back to get it. It’s also across the street from Whole Foods which is next to HomeGoods target is the same shopping center and right across the street is the San Ramon city center. They have a little patio on the side. It gets a little noisy with the traffic but if you want to sit outside it’s available.
