The only thing going for this cafe is its location and they take full advantage of it. I went in for a coffee latte on Sunday morning. There was a small line but it took forever to place the order. The cashier was also doing extra duty of heating pastries, making sandwiches etc. After placing the order, I waited for 20 minutes to get my coffee. There was only one young guy making coffee and it took a long time to fill all the orders. The coffee/latte was aweful. It was basically just partially frothed milk with just a hint of coffee flavor. Just wasted 40 minutes for this! There are better places in Monterey to get your coffee

Tasty chocolate chip cookie. Friendly staff. And nice small coffee shop feel. Regular coffee was really good for a regular brew. And the oat milk hazelnut latte was great tasting too.

Walked in to get coffee and food. 3 people working behind the counter no one greeted us. Was the only one in line. Waited 5 minutes then walked out. Food might have been great but staff wasn't.

The place is nice, but not much food Selection. Prices are reasonable. The outdoor seating has a beautiful view of the Ocean but inside is very small.

This place does not deserve any stars. I wanted a simple coffee and pastry, when I asked for milk for my coffee, the cashier said they didn't do that. I then asked about the pastry and the cashier said he didn't know, he hadn't tried anything. I chose the beignet blindly and it was nothing more than a dinner roll with some sweetener. The only redeeming item to this place is that it's on the ocean

Giving one more star because with such a small number of reviews, it's gonna hurt a little less. The coffee is presented on the outside but needs to be iterated on. Not sure if tap water is used to brew it but, taken straight up, it lacks of quality. Staff is on the edge to being indifferent. A welcoming smile would help. The club sandwich was fine. Not sure if the good location will keep cutting it in the long run.

Really cute beach front cafe serving mostly coffees, teas and sandwiches. I got the ankle biter sandwich which was a simple, but very good, ham and cheese panini. Fantastic location with picnic tables out front for overlooking the beach while enjoying beverages and cafe style food.

I went to this specific coffee shop to use wifi, as stated in large print outside, they offer wifi. I made my purchases as any good patron does at coffee shops, and sat down with my computer. Their wifi does not work, and I was informed by the employee that it doesn't a lot of the time. This is an issue for me, had I known wifi was not actually something provided I would have avoided this coffee shop and gone elsewhere. In addition, the food is subpar and coffee is served too hot.

Lovers point beach cafe is part of The Beach House restaurant. It is open during the day when they are not open. It is located right below the restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating gives you a plain view of Lovers point beach and its beautiful turquoise waters. They serve Carmel Valley Coffee made in Carmel. They offer pastries and delicious looking sweet treats. They serve Numi Organic Tea with several different flavors to choose from. They have fountain sodas if you are not into coffee, and if you are craving an ice cream on those warm summer days, they have a small ice cream case if you want to grab an ice cream sandwich or popsicle. Cute decor and delicious coffee and muffins, I had a white mocha and a carrot cake muffin.

Really enjoyed their patio set up overlooking the water. The panini “lovers point” was very delicious. It’s bigger than we thought and had a sweet&spicy kick to it. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.

Best crab sandwich I’ve ever had. They use blue crab that has a richer flavor than dungeness, on a panini. All hands on deck for the ‘Crabby Jim’ sammy!

Waited in line for 10 min just for them to tell me there closed now and can't make anything for us to eat or drink. Will never see me there again. Horrible customer service.

Stopped here and ordered coffee and possibly the best carrot cake muffin I've ever had. Loved it so much I came back the next day and ordered 2. Although eating half of 1 was hard, they were so big and moist! Can also recommend the lemon poppyseed muffin ;) what can I say, I like their cake.

Nice coffee shop, with outside seating and restrooms available for public. The service was ok, no one greets or say thank you. The cashier girl was respectful and patience. Prices are high for what you get. Nice place to sit and relax after a nice walk. The view is incredible, parking lot available closed by, we weren’t rushed to leave at any moment, you can actually sit and relax for while.

Despite being short-staffed, the staff were friendly and efficient. Coffee was delicious, as was the Green Goddess Panini!

Extremely disappointing that these hours are not accurate and there's no idea of when they're actually open. We went today at 3:15 and they were closed. I've been other days at other times when they're supposed to be open and they're not. Please share accurate times at least on your door.
