Decent breakfast spot with free coffee refills. I'd say it's good for the price and location.

This restaurant was suggested to us by a chef we met at a different restaurant in town. I got a breakfast sandwich but I substituted bread for a biscuit because they are homemade. My husband got biscuits and gravy and said it was really nice. The server was quick and friendly and our food came out hot. (Also, the teen boy at the table next to us ordered the cinnamon roll and it looked incredible. It was way too big for my husband and I to split or I would have ordered one.)
Service could been friendlier, biscuits and gravy (both plates) no flavor and didn’t come hot. Country potatoes only thing I enjoyed to be honest.
Food was horrible especially the country fried eggs also toast was full of butter biscuits and gravy were not good. They asked how the food was and i said horrible they asked if they can bring me something else i said okay and i asked for a patty melt to my surprise they brought me a patty full of grease on a plate by itself before we went there i called to ask if it was open and a rude person answered the phone and said no it's not open it's a recording she was very unprofessional. I don't recommend this place at all horrible horrible horrible shame in them
Clean! Excellent friendly attentive service. The biscuit was to die for, you can order it as a side to any egg plate and I highly recommend it. All the food was tasty. The veggies in the veggie scramble were super fresh.
This is a must stop for us every time we are in that area for breakfast. Our favorite way to start a day in Morro Bay is with Carla's biscuits and gravy!
After a late night, party Saturday there was nothing more wonderful than the hot coffee, comfort food selections, and warm service at Carla's. I had the crab & shrimp scramble. My daughter had the signature Poohey. Everyone was extremely satisfied. Don't forget to try the linguica sausage!
Server- Toby. She is extremely rude, I clicked skip on card tip because I was going to leave her a cash tip. She was very quick to say “it’s how we make a living” rudely, which I then decided not to give a cash tip regards to that comment. She then printing out my recipe and says “ thanks guys, seriously thanks NO tip and starts laughing”out loud for everyone to hear. Me and my family are not from morro bay, Heard great things about this Restaurant and sadly, had a horrible experience because of her.
Carla and her staff are absolutely incredible! The food is top notch and everyone is incredibly friendly. **HIGHLY RECOMMENDED***
Hubby and I went here for brunch and the food was really good. I got the sausage and cheese scramble and the ratio of sausage to egg was perfect! The only problem is I did find what I think was an eyebrow hair in my hash browns so that kinda ruined my appetite a bit!
I was pleasantly surprised here. The waiter was very polite and attentive, the food came out quickly even though they were very busy and it was very good.
We always have breakfast at Karlas when we go to coast. You get a wonderful homemade breakfast. And lots of it. That you!!!
Make sure you are hungry, because the portions are huge. Great service and good homestyle food.
Alex was an attentive server. Food was not very good, burnt hash browns. Disappointed in entire meal.

While the shiny clean appearance looks like a pharmacy, the food is deluxe in flavor and value packed. The scrambles are packed, the eggs in both the scramble & omelette are cooked to perfection. My only neg comment would apply to the potatoes- cooked fairly crisp but without seasoning, maybe a consensus to do this so people could season themselves? Not my style- but I ate them anyways! Looking forward to breakfast #4 in April!
Amazing food, giant portions, awesome staff. My wife got the eggs Benedict and I got the country scramble. Food was incredible and price was great! Highly recommend
The reason for this review is this. If you say you are open till 2pm and a customer walks in at 120pm, after driving 20 minutes just to be told we are closed and we see others being served. Then make sure you put on your website and yelp that you will not serve people at 120pm. I totally get it that's its the holiday and you want to get home. But this might be that reason why people are forgetting that rule. Goid Customer service.
We really enjoyed our breakfast! Food was delicious and Lisa our server was outstanding! Great service and food 👌
