I am quite picky abt coffee, hence I don’t think they did a good job making latte. It’s too hot, milk was watery, coffe has a burnt taste. I can make much better latte w my ecm machine. What a waste of la marzocco.
Tidal Coffee in Monterey is a fantastic spot for coffee lovers. Not only do they serve up great lattes, but the views from their location are absolutely breathtaking. Whether you're looking to start your day with a sunrise coffee or take a break from exploring the beautiful Monterey coastline, Tidal Coffee is the perfect place to do so.
Beautiful 😍 place for Cafe 🍵👍👏 with a great view of Bay 🌊⛵️🛶⛴️
The coffee is really terrible. Like previous comments it tastes burnt. Wifi didn’t work either. Not worth the visit.
I understand that beach front means more expensive but an "okay" reheated breakfast burrito for 14 dollars is just not what anyone deserves. Service was fine, space was modern. But don't kid yourself coming here expecting something that good to eat. Coffee was fine though.
Best Coffee in Monterey, friendly staff.
I’ve tried to like this place over several visits the past couple of months and consistently leave disappointed. The line can get long, but no matter how busy (or quiet) it always moves very slowly. The latte, flat white, and cold brew have all been underwhelming, and the matcha latte was just thrown away after a couple sips for being too chalky. The place does have its location going for it, but you’re better off bringing coffee from somewhere else to sit here.
Don’t go here if you like specialty coffee / good espresso. They use a 3rd party’s espresso, not their own. Very dark and bitter. Solid option if you want Starbucks with cuter branding. Super friendly and fast just not for you if you like specialty coffee. Head to captain & stoker for coffee you won’t forget
Good coffee but service is mediocre. The person taking our order was curt and unwelcoming… it seemed like a chore to take my order. 3 coffees, 3 gelatos. The gelatos come pre-packed and are ok. They don’t have the consistency of a creamy gelato and instead have more of an icy texture. The best flavor taste-wise was the hazelnut chocolate (which happens to be dairy-free and ironically the most “creamy” compared to the other 2 milk-based ones. Expect to also wait about 10-15 min for your coffee order. It wasn’t particularly crowded but there was only 1 barista and he chose a very leisurely pace.
The lid leaked all day, and the insulator on the cup didn’t work. Terrible quality for take out.
Coffee beans are burned black and the taste was like char. No reason to visit this place over a Starbucks. Ordered a cappucino and the shot was pulled in less than 10 seconds so I don't know how there was any coffee in my drink.
Coffee was disgusting. Threw it away after two sips.
Nothing super special about the coffee. It was middle of the road, but better than Starbucks.
Excellent coffee shop with plenty of space, quality seating, and great Wi-Fi. The coffee and baked goods were delicious. There is free street parking a short walk away. It’s right by the bay and has a bit of a view from one window. So glad we found this place on a trip to Monterey, and we actually came to hang out several times!
Great coffee and food. Plenty of outside sitting space with an ocean view. Good for breakfast and brunch
If you love coffee, DO NOT come here. It’s the worst tasting coffee I’ve ever had in my life. Especially do not get the cold brew. It tastes like dirty tap water.
Walked an hour, 2.5 miles and there was no more cinnamon rolls. 🥲 Thankfully I got the Blondie instead and there was a lot of finger licking after with my partner. We both enjoyed it (ask for them to warm it). Delicious!
The monkey bread pastry was really really good but the coffee was bad. Still worth going if you only get pastries!
Good pastries and coffee, and a beautiful view outside.
Great coffee with an amazing view. Nothing beats a mocha and a flaky croissant in the morning fog.
