There is usually a long line so plan for that but the food and coffee are both unparalleled in the area (hence the lines). The staff is friendly and the line does move quickly. I recommend the avocado toast. It’s really phenomenal.

I ordered their lavendar latte and it was amazing!! The staff are super friendly, that’s so important. The place is very open and airy. They have those gorgeous wooden slab to use as tables. I ordered their croissant too, it was warm and flaky. I’ll be coming back!
Very cute coffee shop. Staff were so friendly and patient. They also offered great reccomendations for coffee. My husband ordered the vanilla cappuccino and I ordered from the specialty menu, the honey lavendar latte. Both tasted great! We also both got the avocado toast. The sourdough was very obviously homemade (or at least sourced from an excellent baker), hearty and tasty! Generous avocado spread, topped with arugula, pepper flakes, and a lime on the side. One slice should hold you over until lunch, but they do offer two slices for a slight discount. I'm sure we will be eating here again during our week long visit in Monterey.
⭐️ (and a bonus star because I love C + S that much!) great pastries (almond croissant is magical) and toast options (avocado, jam, cinnamon sugar - they’re all great, can confirm), quite a few places to sit and work, parking is manageable, baristas are friendly and knowledgeable, there are many happy plants, and last but definitely not least, the coffee/espresso/drinks/beans are STELLAR. also, keep your eyes peeled for some cool cars from the auto shop next door! (if you’re into that sort of thing) side quest: how many flamingoes can you find?
Everything about the store is beautiful. Coffee is excellent. The staff is always smiling and friendly. I don't live in Monterey but make a point to come to this coffee shop every single time I'm in town. 🙏🙏
So many great vibes emanating from this spot in Monterey. One of my first stops on a recent visit and I'm definitely coming back on my next trip. Awesome decor and just has the feel of a fun spot for locals and visitors alike. Their coffee is some of the best I've had of late. I ordered their Guatemalan pour-over - great taste and really hit the spot. Fueled my family and I on our weekend trip throughout Monterey + Carmel. Would def recommend this if you're in need of a pick-me-up or a cool place to start your day in Monterey.

Discussed K-pop with staff members and Andrea was kind about the local haunts. Nitro cold brew and avocado toast for the family. It was special and we would love to return...

Excellent roasters. Very good espresso-based drinks. Quality pastries and breads and great bicycle related ambiance. Caveat: Can be very slow and I’ve seen some confusion behind the counter. Avoid when busy unless you have at least 1/2 hour.
Good coffee. Nice merchandise. Oh, and try the morning bun, they’re awesome. Another thing that’s awesome: the guys behind the counter: great service!

4 years later update! Love this spot! Best way to start the day! A true five-star experience. Amazing espresso I travel all over the world and this is amazing!!! I'm so excited that there's finally a great place to get an espresso in Monterey... Actually in Monterey County!
