Sadly I ate my food before I could take a picture of it but it was absolutely fantastic. I had a roast beef sandwich which was just so good. Scarfed it down to be honest. My first time coming to this establishment but I gotta say this place made a great first impression and I will be back to try other items. They serve breakfast and coffee as well so if you're looking for something to get your morning started.

Great staff, the pastries are yummy except my Raspberry crossaint had a tiny amount of filling so it was basically a plain crossaint. Would definitely come back for pastry. I do not recommend the chicken pesto panini. Very messy and not any flavor.

Rude and unorganised staff, homeless people in outside seating area. Pastries were good but the drinks were poor quality (OJ from a carton and poor quality coffee).

Love their croissants, especially the apple and raspberry. My favorite though is the bread pudding with fresh whipped cream.. So good!!! Plus everyone there is so nice and helpful

Great variety of wonderful pastries/cookies/cakes. Also great breads. Haven't tried them yet but their sandwiches look delicious too. Worth the wait in line to get some yummy treats or lunch.

It's a must if you're in Monterey. They have the best bread, croissant & scones. The coffee was perfectly brewed.

A line out the door but great service and so many pastries and dessert to choose from only thing I would say is a wait. Lots of tourist for sure.

They always have the freshest baked goods. I am a big fan of the french bread.

The oldest bakery cafe in Monterey! A place where you can bring back childhood memories and nostalgia. Find the Pink Cake Box. I highly recommend the cream cheese croissant!

Went at Noon to have a snack and a cup of coffee. Food great as usual. Line of people moved quickly. Prices reasonable.

Amazing bakery with everything from happy face cookies, to artisan bread, to fancy French desserts, and crossiants. Friendly staff, indoor and outdoor seating, clean restroom. We tried princess cake, opera cake, black forest gateau, and chocolate mousse cake. All of them we're delicious and fresh!

Very warming, homie and enterprising. Loved the green tea. Cashiers and owners. Enjoyed the day old bread...quite a treat. The brown owner was a little rough. Enjoyed watching the young man in action with the Baguette and Parisian breads.

The best bakery in Monterey for authentic French pastries and breads. Great service, too!

This place is criminally underrated! Best bakery in Monterey! Tons of variety (which is not common for some reason) and everything is so incredibly tasty! Environment is also second to none! A must visit for Monterey

Good solid cafe. Croissants are good. I think I like the quiche best.

Definitely not as good as it used to be. Buy your baguette's at Costco, much fresher and tastier. Bought a couple of palmiers, they tasted old, croissants are doughy and def not what I am used to. Go to other pastry shops for your Danish, croissant, and bread.

Simply a gem! This is a pic from last month, but today I noticed just how much is on the menu. Pizza, sandwiches, quiches, and the coffee/tea is stellar. The brioche custards are a must, but everything I've had is top level.
