I gave this a little lower rating on the coffee because they don't indicate the origin of the beans for the coffee. So you don't have a clue if you are getting beans reflective of the pricing. Their tasting notes on the board and the menu were different so they obviously change up beans but keep the same name. So buyer beware
Needed a pick me up and I don’t drink coffee. I’m solely a tea person so I didn’t expect much ordering tea at a coffee shop. But I was so surprised and impressed with the black tea w/ splash of cream. It was the best cup of tea I’ve ever had and I drink tea everyday. Attention to detail with two fresh mint leaves really elevated it. So delicious.
I keep coming back for the staff.. the satisfaction of their yerba mate is just a bonus.
I had 4 to 5 choices of dark roast....amazing!! Each cup is made individually so it was super hot and super fresh. Best cup of joe I've had!!
Fantastic, freshly ground and brewed coffee, with a lot of customization options for your favorite cuppa. Will definitely come again!
This is one of my favorite coffee shops in the country. The employees are awesome and can make anything you could dream of coffee wise. The space is bright and beautiful. Adrian the manager is so kind and I can't wait to visit again in the new year!
Best coffee in Encinitas! My go-to order is a hot Tesora blend & an iced mint mojito house style. Worth the price of $4-5 per cup.
The best mocha and almond croissant ever. He suggested warmed and it absolutely melted in your mouth.
I was treated like a Queen by The Icons who work there. The coffee was the elixir of Gods and made me feel ten years younger, 30, and flirty. Definitely will be recommending to all of mine friends, family, my doctor, my dog and the Lord Jesus Himself. Thank you Philipz Ps. Sydney is a super hot bae, Im obsessed. Is he single?
Sam is AWESOME, she set me up with a Dancing Haze and took such great care of me. Although Philz is technically a coffee shop, I feel like they need their entire own subcategory. This place is super special. Head in with an open mind and let the baristas do what they do best, and you’ll love it.
Always good vibes at this very special Philz location a couple of blocks from Swami's. The staff and the other regulars are amazing.
The cold brew is really good! Better than other big name coffee shops
My companions and I ordered the mint mojito iced coffee. I ordered it the regular Phil's way but I should've ordered it a bit on the sweeter side. It was still good but I would've preferred it a bit sweeter next time. But such a fun and refreshing drink.

this is by far the BEST coffee place I have ever been to. my boyfriend and I love coming here it's so peaceful and the food and drinks are absolutely amazing :) definitely would recommend!!! the service is incredible, everyone there is always in such a good mood and so beyond helpful. one hundred percent making this my regular coffee shop from now on

One of the coolest coffee spots I’ve been to in a while. Friendly staff, great coffee. Love the setup. If I lived in Encinitas it’d be my go to spot. I came in on a Sunday morning around 8:00am. I imagine anytime after 9:00 would be pretty busy. Overall well done, you’ll see me again sometime for sure 👌
