Loved just about everything! Just PLEASE add decaf coffee to the menu! I've literally never been to a restaurant or Cafe that did not serve decaf coffee. I, like many decaf drinkers, love the taste of coffee even though we can't have the caffeine. This is the only place that I know of that when I asked for decaf coffee, they responded that they don't carry it. Service and food were great, just please get the decaf. It makes a person feel out of place not having it, especially since everywhere else does serve decaf. Couldn't get over it. Great menu otherwise. Everything tasted great! Thank you.

Stopped by at the end of the day and the food was just average. The burger was bland and the bun fairly soggy. The avocado toast was also bland with eggs that were overcooked. The side bacon had been preprepped and was flat, oily and folded on itself. The chef needs to have the kitchen care more about quality, freshness and presentation. Really a two star but the staff are super nice and really great at their job.

Wonderful food and drinks, creative locally sourced menu. Lovely atmosphere. Photos of potato pancake, chilaquiles, and avocado toast, all spectacular.

Food and drinks were great. Service was friendly but definitely more focused on talking with coworkers.

I left this place feeling hungry and like I got conned. I got the avocado toast which was one thinly sliced bread with well seasoned mashed avocado. For this I paid $18. I understand that Carmel-by-the-Sea is not a cheap place but one has to question these things and draw the line somewhere.

Some of the best food I've had in a while. Highly recommend the cinnamon roll and the bahn mi. Service was also great, shout out to Josh who was super friendly and had great recommendations. I wish I lived closer so I could go more often.

You need to make reservations because this place gets very busy. Our breakfast was good. We got the Chilaquiles, French Cast Iron (not on the menu anymore) and the Breakfast Plate. We've been here a few times and pancakes and seasonal lattes are good as well.

Good food and coffee! I was impressed with the plating of the avocado toast! A little more expensive than I anticipated but still a good experience!

Best burger, avocado toast, and budino! Make a reservation or be prepared to wait for a seat. Be patient (including with the friendly staff- read some of the negative reviews) as this place is busy and everyone wants a taste! Food is incredible and definitely worth the wait if you’re in Carmel.

My wife and I come here periodically throughout the year. It's a great local spot in Carmel if you're looking for a gourmet menu with great coffee, drinks and beer selection. Seating indoor and outdoor and they are dog friendly.

We LOVED this place! 10/10! The food was so flavorful, they also have specialty coffee which is a plus and their service was amazing! We got the Shakshouka, Chilaquiles and blueberry pancake + vanilla iced lattes which were 🤌🏼 I would recommend going here and also checking the wine shop next door. Also, try to reserve a table before (if you can) just because it’s pretty small inside and so you don’t have to wait!

Stationaery excelled again when I brought relatives for a get together on Friday. They were accommodative when I asked to come 30 minutes earlier. They were patient when we lingered a bit longer and found someone another table so we could do so. The wait person was stellar in splitting the tab unevenly, with a smile. The food was excellent as in the past, and though rates are up, it is food worthy of it. The hamburgers (showed them a photo of our previous one) I enthusiastically recommended didn’t disappoint, and my brown rice salad was delicious with such interesting ingredients. Coffee and matcha latte also were wonderful as I remembered. I hesitate to write this as we want to keep being able to get in to eat, but they deserve the kudos.

The food was really good ,i tried the Chilaquiles 👌🏻and the coffee was just perfect , The only problem it's they take so long to sit the costumer , you need to reserve a table even though the place is almost empty .... When we finish our break the sever well (one of them) , took like 20 min to bring the check , i appreciate that they are friendly but if you see a costumer is all done. Not plates on the table whatsoever , just come and give the check .... In total you loose 2 plus hours here ,just to have breakfast ,..

I discovered stationaery a little over a year ago and it has been my favorite place for food ever since. I’ve been here around sixty times (mostly for brunch) and I’ve never been disappointed. Each item on the menu is absolutely amazing and I’ve tried pretty much all of them. My favorites are the avocado toast, the farmers salad, the yoghurt bowl, chilaquiles and their lattes. All the waiters are super nice and the owners are very engaged! Yes, it might be a little expensive, but 100% worth it 🫶🏼

Yum, absolutely delicious!! Everything tasted and looked great. We got the Bahn Mi and Lobster Roll—fresh, delicious, unique bites. I added caviar to the lobster roll to make it extra decadent, and it became the best lobster roll I’ve ever had!! Thank you, Seth, for the great service and positivity!!

Their pancakes and shakshuka were scrumptious. The staff was very helpful considering we had a baby and needed special accommodation.

A modern spot in an abundance of typical Carmel ‘old money’ spots. However, all sane laws of economics need to be suspended when walking through the door. The first item on the breakfast menu is caviar and chips for $78. Just to remind you you’re in Carmel. Unforgivable.

We went for a bachelorette brunch on Sunday. We had a reservation so we walked in and our table was ready. It’s cute little spot tucked away few steps from ocean ave( the Carmel’s Main Street) We ordered mimosa service and 5 dishes. The service was great the server was attentive, helpful with choosing what to order and representation of the dishes was aesthetic. We loved literally everything we ordered. Avocado toast was a classic. The chilaquiles and shakshuka was tasty and great mix of flavors with a zing. Brown rice salad was my favorite. Lentils, peanuts and crunch from the greens. The granola in yogurt bowl was gut friendly with pumpkin seeds and balanced with fruits. They sent a complimentary bread pudding for our bride to be. And she LOVED it. thank you! Their potato pancakes were sold out for the day so I am guessing it’s popular item. I already know what I want to order next time :) brown rice salad and a bread pudding ❤️
