We got the chorizo omelette, it was good… the cinnamon pancake was okay, not all the hype in my opinion , my favorite was the cheese biscuit.

Pretty traditional food done super well. Basically the same price and a similar menu as a normal diner, but the flavors are all terrific, clearly on another level.

I love From Scratch! I usually get their Skillet, Barnyard Wrap, or Cobb salad. Also recommend the baby red potatoes as a side. Generous portions. Prices have gone up a bit but that is understandable with the times. It can get busy with limited seating inside and on the outdoor patio at high breakfast/lunch times. I usually just order to-go. Very convenient that they've also added online ordering in recent years although not sure the menu includes everything. I saw on their website menu they had a couple kids options available but when I looked to order something online for my daughter I couldn't find them included. Wish they had longer hours (they close at 2pm) for when you may have those late lunch days.

We came here once before about 7 years ago. The food & service was great. Our visit this time left us disappointed. Thankfully, there was zero wait, so we were seated immediately, but the service not good. It was over 10 mins before we were asked for our drink order. The wait for the food was okay. Not once did our server ask if we needed more water or refills. My husband tracked down another waiter for more water. The food was just okay..I ordered a BLTA. The tomato was cut way too thick. I asked for regular fries and that was not an option..

Delicious! Every bite, every dish melted in your mouth. Short wait, fast service and affordable prices. Worth coming back to.

Good food, huge portions, quality ingredients. Nice that there's outdoor seating as well as an inside area with a fireplace.

Only 2 restrooms that aren't very clean. Hard to find. Hard to park. Nice art for sale on the wall.

Quick, friendly service. Love the biscuits and gravy- the sausage is amazing. One star off because the coffee wasn't very good and the tables are too tiny.

The food was disappointing. I was really excited because they were on triple Ds but they can’t even cook eggs properly here. I ordered over easy eggs and received uncooked snotty egg whites with it. Over hyped and I’m starting to wonder what’s up with the high reviews of this place. I had the triple d platter. All of my food was served lukewarm and came suspiciously quick. I suspect it’s not made to order as they claim on the menu. My biscuits were bland and had a weird texture. The sausage patties were over cooked and tasteless. The chili brisket chunks were inconsistent with some tender pieces mixed with extremely dry pieces. The potatoes and cheese grits were alright but nothing to run home about.

Great food, southern influenced, but definitely not southern charm from the wait staff. Don’t go with large parties, that seemed to be more of an inconvenience, even thought auto gratuity is included.

The hot chocolate is delicious 😋 The omelet is big and dry with zero flavor. The chorizo was burnt, the potatoes were raw. I kept wondering why so many people were leaving potatoes on their plate because they looked good, then I got my order and quickly realized why. The biscuits and gravy are actually sausage patties on top of biscuits. No flavor at all. The concept is nice and the atmosphere is there, but the food is a major fail.

Perfect brunch spot!! Absolutely worth a visit.

Very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere with home cooking to match! We always come here when we're in town and have not been disappointed. From the omelets to breakfast burritos, to the amazing cinnamon roll pancake...we will be back again!

Delicious hot chocolate. I ordered a skillet. It was decent but different than what I had ordered.

Stop at this place for breakfast or brunch in a cozy setting. This place is conveniently located near Monterey and could be an ideal stop if you are on a roadtrip on the CA1. Lot of options on the menu with something for everyone. Would definitely recommend the place. There could be some wait time on weekends and holidays.

This amazing restaurant is a little hard to find with GPS. Mine said “You are here” and shut off and we were not even close to the parking area yet, LOL. It’s located on the lower level of the Barnyard Shopping Center so you can use mall parking and look for the signs. Worth the walk for sure. There was no wait, thankfully.

Large breakfast but overrated. Not special as advertise - scratch. Ordered a variety of dishes as there were 8 of us. Will not return. Service was slow and had to remind waiter about not receiving all our orders.

Exceptional classic Eggs Benedict. Large portions and really good. So much good food I couldn’t finish my plate. I was so hungry and enjoying my food so much, I forgot to take pictures!
