Soooo good the ice cream and milkshake *_*
Ordered this afternoon around 1pm a coffee and it was all foamy, The barista was not good and makes my stomach sour and upset. Will never recommend unless they change their barista.
Truly enjoyed food. My first time I will be back
Very tasty and filling breakfast burrito. The coffee is the best coffee I've had on my road trip up from LA. The music playlist is most excellent.
The people are so kind, I had just avocado toast, plus Wi-Fi for a work meeting. This was probably the best version of avocado toast, it was filling and uniquely simple. I am literally planning my next trip and this toast will be on the itinerary!
We bought a hot Cross bun & blueberry muffin from here this morning & they were both so stale & inedible we threw them out after a bite. Do not recommend.
Average food, terrible service! Tea is just hot cup water with a tea bag! They want you to put it in. Paid tips but employees attitudes made me feel strange and been discriminated because I am minorities.
Cappuccino here is something you should give a try.
The breakfast sandwich I ordered was probably the most delicious sandwich I’ve ever had. That, plus delicious coffee made my stop at Cafe Carmel so delightful. Definitely on the pricier side but well worth it considering.
Good place for a quick breakfast. Cappuccino and croissant was yum.
Poor ventilation and overcrowded with limited seats. Need to wait for everything !! Don't recommend if in a hurry.
Good coffee and tasty TLT turkey sandwich! The downside is limited seating.
Place good enough for quick bites.
Kelly was so beautiful and kind. We stopped here for desserts and they have a spectacular display case full of 100% house made confectionery. I got the chocolate eclair and it was HANDS DOWN best eclair I’ve ever had. Perfect custard - not too sweet. We are taking a dozen home. Next time I’m going for cheesecake. This place is very clean and quaint and high quality food and service.
The Service is wonderful! Fast for the amount of people they where trying to serve. We ordered coffees and the French Toast and the Eggs Benedict ! The eggs where poached to Perfection! The Hollandaise sauce was on Point! The fresh fruit on the French Toast was a delicious! Was so happy with the service and the Coffee we stopped back the next morning for Coffees again and had some pastries! Delicous Eclairs! There selection of pastries and baked goods was amazingly well presented and they all looked amazing!
Excellent food and a great location. There was no wait. We had the sweet French toast, avocado toast, and quiche Lorraine. This place didn’t disappoint at all.
Average place at Carmel beach. Most of the items that we asked for were not there and they billed it. We have to do alternate selections while picking up our order. There is no coordination between the order taker and the order issuer. Both don't know what is available and what is not. Even the taste is very average only.
The cafe smelt amazing inside! I had the homemade granola with fruit and yogurt. And my boyfriend got the smoked salmon bagel. They were both delicious. He really enjoyed his latte and I enjoyed my nitro cold brew!
The customer service here is horrible. We walked in to order a latte, and the lady at the front told us very rudly that we have to leave, and cannot order because our dog is with us. All of Carmel is dog friendly, and we were simply taking an item to go. If you are looking for a spot with a positive attitude and welcoming customer service, this is NOT the place. - RESPONSE TO OWNER: Perhaps the real issue here is missed. There are more respectful ways to communicate to someone about establishment rules. The health department states service animals are okay, the distinction being behavior, NOT shedding or saliva which is what I assume you are referring to when you bring up the code. I would very much revisit the code and maybe get out of the service industry altogether if you are siding with a very disrespectful, insolent, plain rude individual you employ.
The service is awful. Cashier was rude, unwilling to help to take an order. Back male cook was laughing after several customers complained and walked out from the register. I will never come back to this place. So sad for a charming town like Carmel. Employ better staff, if you wear a mask, place it above your nose, and for the cashier's long nails, touching food and money at the same time as you're poiting every customer who expresses a grievance out the door, you should not be working in any service job. As you said to us "OKAY, BYE". ***************************** ****************************************** Replying here since it won't let me on the platform: Thank you for acknowledging this review. My husband and I stopped by today around 12pm you had a long line of costumers (we waited 15 min in line), 3 others walked out and a lady heard and saw the cashier throw her fingers at us out the door and said they are very rude here, and went back to say something to the cashier. I've never had this level of disrespect, the cashier and the male cook clearly don't need jobs for one to laugh and another to not only be vulgar in her way of speech but to show absolute disrespect to another person.
