Adorable little country store right next to the parking lot for the state park waterfall. Made fresh to order, hamburgers, hotdogs, barbecue sandwiches, breakfast, lunch, dinner menu. Small dine-in tables plus several picnic tables out front. Very inexpensive.
Delicious, made to order breakfast. Hashbrowns were made like I wanted them. The ladies were super sweet. Our only regrets are that we didn’t try the grits (because I’m guessing these ladies make some perfect grits) and didn’t make it back on this trip for the burgers, but we definitely will on our next trip! We had freshly made breakfast sandwiches- a bologna, egg, and cheese one and a sausage, egg, and cheese one- along with some gas browns with cheese, onions, and jalapeños. All the necessary condiments are on the tables. Also, there are so many awesome articles and pictures of local history all over the walls! Oh!! And the store itself has maybe the cleanest gas station bathroom I have ever been in.
I've been coming here since I was a kid, I love this place and the food.
It was a great little stop for breakfast. I ate here several days in a row on a trip through the area and wasn't disappointed. Believe them when they tell you the Blueberry Pancakes are huge. I'm a hefty eater and they were a hassle to finish, but very much worth it.
Always a nice stop for a quick bite during our motorcycle rides. Staff is always friendly barbecue is pretty good too.
It was very pricey for a hamburger. We had 2 of the mushroom swiss patty melts, 2 small fries, 2 16 Oz drinks and it was $42.00. It was decent food but not good enough to warrant the price. Friendly people working there.
We came for lunch, then came again for breakfast. Great food, great service! Will come again if we are in the area!
Staff is very friendly. Food is reasonably priced. Small seating area inside but a lot more outside under a huge tree. Got the steak & cheese on garlic bread. One of the best I've ever had. Other sandwiches at our table were cheeseburgers and pulled pork. Zero complaints 👍. Only drawback for us were the fries, just out of the bag cuts with no salt (this could be good for some people) so I added salt/pepper. Would love to see some home made fries. It's about an hour drive for us but will go again.
Recommend by a local person and everything was wonderful!!
The grill was closed for dinner when we arrived. However they were back up and running for breakfast. Great service, very friendly and clean. Reviews are accurate. This place is really good!
Great little hole in the wall Cafe with a great breakfast and good service.
Down from Canada recently. Tried boiled peanuts (cajun). Are there any clinics that deal with boiled peanut addiction? Nuff said! I'll be back!
We stopped by here for breakfast on our way back home after finding it in Google and seeing all the reviews, and it didn't disappoint! The establishment was clean and very compact. Even though there wasn't a lot of seating available, it's not a 5 star restaurant, it's a nice diner in a gas station, so seats will be limited. The convenience store side offered a little bit of everything that you may need. Now on to the food side! There are very few people working, so it's a slight wait but nothing too bad. My wife ordered French toast, eggs, grits and bacon and I ordered the breakfast platter with 2 eggs, grits, biscuit, sausage and a side of gravy. My wife's French toast and other food items were delicious as was mine! But really set off our breakfast was the bacon and sausage, it was from a grocery store. I could taste the salt and smoke in the bacon and the sausage was amazing! Come to find out the meat supplied to the restaurant comes from the owner's farm and it was some of the finest sausage and bacon I've ever had! We will definitely stop here the next time we're in the area and get one of their burgers! Definitely worth a stop to eat some of this food!
Stopped here on the way to the VFW fairgrounds. Ladies they have the cleanest bathroom! When I went inside the clerk was in the middle of cleaning it too! I bought a self defense key chain and would recommend this as a must stop if you're traveling.
Great little cafe
I Love the cafe, great food. The store is awesome, it has more than your normal convenience store. It has neat local art, home made goods, and supplies. My favorite place to stop in, the ladies are so friendly.
Great food and service! Enjoyed our lunch immensely! Definitely a great place to stop and eat!
Went to look at a truck.I stopped there to get something to eat. Ordered the mushroom Swiss burger with no bun.And was pleased that they could accommodate to my diet and didn't get that look like most places do . It was amazing and filled me up. I will make a point when in the area to stop and eat there. Was nice to be able to sit outside.Awesome service. Thank you
We cannot say enough positive about this place. It was wonderful when it was "Ralph's ". Now, under the new owner, it is one of the best places in Dekalb County. This place is the ONLY local place we know of that consistently serves Hormone free and antibiotic free meats. Their food is GREAT, their staff is friendly and has always bent over backwards to help us. Their hours are great, and they have NEVER let us down, even selling us their foodservice cheese or whatnot in order to keep us from having to go down the mountain to shop. During Covid-19, they never closed or harassed people about what they did or didn't wear. If this place gets any better, I am concerned IT will start drawing tourists even more than that beautiful waterfall next door. Rim of the Canyon Grill IS a local treasure.
Nice lunch stop before hitting the falls! Enjoyed the food.
