Locals Coffee - Roastery & Cafe

I regularly visit this location and love the personal, family style experience that it brings to the area. With plenty of space, live music, and delicious breakfast/coffee, this is a treat of an establishment.

My personal favorite is their "Big Sandwich": 2 eggs, extra meat and extra cheese of your choice. Match that with an iced caramel latte and you've got an excellent start to your day!

I work for a small company, we had one of our monthly meetings at Locals and it was awesome! Management was very accommodating, the food & coffee was delicious, and the space was very comfortable. Staff was helpful, quick and friendly. I love that everything is locally sourced, their chai latte in particular is amazing!

I was early for work so I decided to stop and get me a cappuccino. 2 girls were working and waiting was only me and 1 other person in the store. One girl seemed to be learning. The other one was making coffee and helping someone in the back. I paid for a cappuccino but after waiting 20 min, I just said can I get a coffee because I'm getting ready to now be late for work. She comments, yes. But never offered to refund me the difference in money or maybe throw in a muffin, nothing. Horrible experience..... the positive Is that the place seems very clean and cozy but unfortunately customer service isn't the best.

Four stars today seems like a bad review to many, for some reason, but I really liked Locals. The staff, while not gregarious or jovial by any means, are helpful and make good coffee. It's a cozy place in a good location, and I'd recommend it to people around Glenside. There is room for improvement, however: I've been inconsistently charged for an in-house coffee over the few times I've been there, but I think those are kinks dependent upon the cashier, and shouldn't be thought of as anything else. They're there to help.
I think Elcy's has competition now! Good luck, Locals.

Really good food, amazing coffee, and amazing Hot Chocolate. Really dog friendly and has great seating. Would recommend.

Waited to give a review after going a few times after they opened. Multiple times Ive been waiting to order and the person at the counter was taking their sweet ole time doing who knows what. Its a nice ambiance but the operations need a little improvement to focus on the customer.

Had the two eggs, sausage, cheddar on a toasted Kaiser roll - delicious! Paul's favorite so far. Might be better than Scott's Favorite which I'll try next time.
