The Buzz of Union City Cafe

What a pleasant experience I had this morning. I was at The Buzz last week through the drive through but today I went inside. They have the place looking AMAZING!!!! With a bit of Union City history to go along with it. Ruth Jane Watts has to be so pleased to see her old beauty shop turned into such a trendy new business instead of torn down or who knows what. I enjoyed the entire place but I have to say my favorite design feature is the old wooden exterior wall and window they kept exposed across from the counter near the front entrance. You can tell no expense was spared in the design & fixtures. The atmosphere is cozy but there are so many places to sit either surrounded by others or many intimate places to have a private conversation or sit and work on your laptop. Coming soon is a room with a fireplace to cuddle up to. Can you imaging what that will feel like on one of the cold, snowy, blustery winter days we get here in the snow belt!? On warmer days there are even several different places to sit outside, INCLUDING a peaceful creekside table along the banks of French Creek that runs through town. It was nice talking with Kathy and catch up with a couple long time local residents. This is exactly what The Buzz is meant for. One of those places from a long forgotten time when old timers used to sit in the local barber shop or hardware store sipping on coffee and talking about current events or the local "buzz." It's been a welcomed distraction for everyone in town to watch the progress of creating what is sure to be a local favorite for many years, no, decades to come. And all during a very stressful time of the pandemic of 2020. You can tell Kathy and Greg take pride in their hometown. You WON'T be disappointed with anything you choose to eat or drink.

This cafe is incredible! The drip brew, espresso, smoothies, teas and much more are amazing! One fun speciality drink is the Nutty Brew. There are multiple choices for which roast of coffee bean you would like for a regular cup of coffee! The owner is very well versed with the coffee they have to offer. Their espresso machine is authentic and their lattes are amazing! If you are looking for a cool refreshing drink or an amazing cup of coffee, look no further then The Buzz!

Really good espresso, strong, just how I like it. Food selection is good, but I can't say I've had much. I go to coffee shops for coffee. But, certainly recommend going to the Buzz.

Sandwich was good. I could see some room for improvement on it since it was soft not crunchy. Maybe microwaved, not sure. But I came for the coffee and glad I did. It’s as good as anywhere and you can’t beat the price. Light roast Ethiopian beans are rare and my favorite.

Nice new shop in a quaint little town. Friendly folks with fair prices. Expanded menu offers various coffee based drinks, craft energy drinks and a breakfast and lunch menu. Tried a cold coffee, energy drink and coffee milkshake and all were 5 star drinks. For food we had a couple pitzas and they were perfect single size. The cheeseburger pizza and the big buzz pizza were amazing. Highly recommended and can't wait for the indoor seating to open up and for the weather to break to enjoy the outdoor seating as well. Keep it up!

I've been watching over the past year as they were getting ready to open. The owners I believe, always talked to me outback and were very nice. So I couldn't wait to try it! Finally today I got an iced caramel macchiato and it was delicious!! (Should have gotten the larger size!) I will definitely be going back to try the food and different coffee drinks!

I'm a huge starbucks fan, but the buzz coffee is definitely better. I stop and get a hot nutty brew any chance I can get. So good, and the staff is always friendly!

The service is always friendly and personal. I often get the 3 cheese and sausage egg bites, which in my opinion are delicious. My beverage of choice is an unsweetened tea with lemon and my daughter loves the raspberry fruit fusion. We stop at least once a week if not more.

Had their danishes and coffee! Tasted great and staff was so friendly! Driving through from Florida but will definitely stop again on the way home.
