Awesome coffee and also delicious chicken sandwich! Best coffee shop in town.

I've missed having a local coffee roaster nearby after living by one in the Philadelphia area. Rothrock coffee has a nice open atmosphere with exceptional staff and coffee to match. My wife and I enjoyed it so much that its going to become our regular coffee shop instead of Saintat Coffee downtown. If you want real coffee (not that Starbucks nonsense) go to Rothrock for freshly roasted delicious coffee!

I was here after two years of being in State College and wanted to try this place after reading reviews but my experience was different. I asked for ice and one of the staffs told me to wait in the line (there was no line at that point) in a very unfriendly way. Plus, I wasn’t able to find outlet and didn’t want to ask since the same guy was behind the counter. I left there after one hour and won’t come back again.
The coffee was good tho.

Visited on a Saturday morning. It was busy and crowded but that didn't make it overwhelming or difficult to move around or settle in. There were tables, half booth half tables, and bar stools. Wi-Fi in building. Trendy / young adult / college age students studying crowd.

Ordered a $4 latte with vanilla syrup. It was delicious and worth it. Very nice staff all around. The coffee shop has an overall factory / industrial feel but very clean and upbeat. Windows covering half of the front of the building from the floor up, letting in a lot of natural sunlight. Sonos speakers throughout that plays good coffee shop / chill music.

Excellent coffee with a good atmosphere. They also sell whole beans and brewing equipment.

Good but not great, not the best in town. Lots of hype

I was in town for work for just one night so I stopped by Rockroth to grab a drink on my way home the next morning. Ordered a chai latte. Got back in the car and waited a little while for it to cool off before I took a sip only to discover after I’m already down the road a ways that they definitely did not give me a chai latte. Which is weird because it was not busy at all so I don’t know how there was any confusion. I’m not 100% sure what it is but I do not like it so I feel like I just wasted five bucks unfortunately.

These guys know what they're doing when it comes to coffee, making chocolatey and bright cappuccinos. The various smashed toasts are very well put together, with avocado and optional smoked salmon, almond butter pressed croissants. I recommend getting a plate warmer so they stay warm though, and a touch of honey (maybe a dollop serves on the side?) makes the pressed almond butter croissant perfect.

This place is totally awesome! The atmosphere is incredible. Gorgeous wood, creamy countertops. Even with quite a few people nestled in on a cold day (12 days after opening, I'm told) there's plenty of seating, and maybe even a chance for fun interactions with your neighbors. The owner (I think) was testing out sandwich samples (the tuna-cucumber was delicious), but right now it's primarily hot drinks, smoothies, and some pastries. I got a pour-over coffee for $4. There were two options. I got the Guatemala. Okay, $4 is kind of pricey, but wow it was good. I think they use Chemex because their tip jar is a Chemex vessel, but whatever, it was great. Their drip coffee is $2 something, which is totally reasonable, and I haven't tried that yet. I stayed a while to work on my laptop. The seat I am sitting at is surprisingly comfortable; I think I've been here over an hour, now. There's quite a few conveniently placed power outlets, and the internet is decent — not amazing, we're talking about 3Mbps down and 2 up — but better than a lot of other free wifi places around. Plus you don't have to deal with putting in a password or paying extra for it (cough, Websters, cough). I've just ordered a green tea and it was served in an adorable 1.5 cup press with a 3-minute timer that I can pour myself. The staff seem really friendly. I'm going to be coming here a lot, I think.

Nice little spot. Latte was a work of art. Perfect velvety foam.

Avocado toast could use a little spice, or some extra seasoning. A spritz of fresh citrus juice would be a good start.
