Commonwealth Coffeehouse

Ordered a sandwich platter a little late for a work lunch. Tom was so happy to help and made an incredible platter of sandwiches! First, the platter was huge, the price was great and the sandwiches were DELICIOUS! Included plates, napkins and dressings. I would have attached a picture but they didn't last long enough for me to take one!! Tom even offered to help me bring them to the office! Thank you so much Tom and staff!! Would give you more than 5 stars if I could! Will be going back real soon!! (They have great coffee too!)

Top notch family owned local business. Great for work meetings or to take the kids. They really take pride in everything they do!

Kind of feels like a hotel lobby, but the coffee is as good as it gets and the prices are a bit more reasonable than I expected

This coffeehouse is one of the most relax places to be in downtown! If you need to get work done in a laid back environment, this place is for you. The gentleman working the counter ( I think the owner) was very pleasant and was also very kind to the new employee he was training. You can feel the love in their work. Coffee is A+

A comfortable place to sit and relax or study whiling enjoying a hot cup of coffee. The owner is a super friendly laid back guy and his staff are just as nice. I love their bacon (awesomely crisp) and eggs.

3rd time here..... beautiful place... but coffee is not hot... Luke warm.... 2nd visit ordered blueberry muffin... asked for it warmed... half cold.... 3rd visit... cold coffee... ordered egg and cheese sandwich... cheese only on half of sandwich.....and staff look like they would rather be some where else.. the place has so much promiss...... next time in town will give one more chance....

This new coffeehouse is simply the best thing to happen to Scranton! The atmosphere is warm & welcoming & the coffee selection is wonderful. They put a unique twist on ordinary coffee & food options! The staff is so friendly & always checking on customers! If you are in the area, this is the place to stop :) will definitely be back many times

I pulled up out front to make my usual Starbucks run when I noticed a new coffee shop across the street. I love to support local, however I am unfortunately very picky with my coffee. I decided to try Commonwealth Coffeehouse and boy was I pleasantly surprised. The interior design is gorgeous. It’s such a cute, calming atmosphere, with plenty of sunlight through the windows. I ordered a medium iced triple latte, 3 pumps vanilla, with soy milk, which is my Starbucks usual. Price wise, not very far off from Starbucks, which is amazing. Very vegan friendly! They have oat, almond, soy, and coconut milk! Their syrups are non dairy as well! Their espresso is by far 1000% better than anything I’ve had before. The ratio of espresso-syrup-milk in the latte was spot on. Definitely going to be returning, and I’m excited to try their other options! You’re missing out if you don’t try this coffee house! 🙂

I was on my way back to NJ and was going to stop at Starbucks for a coffee. Do yourself a favor and skip the Starbucks across the street! Absolutely stunning place. Big windows, LOTS of daylight! Bright, clean, roomy, but cozy at the same time. Great coffee. Definitely will be back next time I'm in Scranton.

Very good coffee and food. Owner is very nice. Mom and Pop type of place.
