The coffee was amazing. I'm a firm Starbucks lover and usually private coffee shops are lacking something and omg I think I prefer this coffee shop. The staff is very friendly and the sandwiches were very yummy. Definitely will return.

literally heaven on earth. my friends and I come here regularly and they have little notebooks on every table that we draw in. the place is so comforting and the prices are very affordable. the staff are all so nice and friendly!! wonderful place! there's a 4.9 star review for a reason.

Went here with my boyfriend and our toddler, one word AMAZING. Fairly priced, had books, coloring books and crayons, so our daughter colored and had her Nutella croissant while we had our coffee. Each table has a journal on it so you can write an encouraging quote, doodle a picture, whatever you want. So creative and cute. Can’t wait to go back!

Come home to visit and was so happy to see a new business! The sandwiches and coffee were great and it is such a fun atmosphere for the kids! The employees were so nice and pleasant. Can’t wait to come back!

First time here. The food and drinks were so good. The macaroons were amazing; the best I've ever had. Relaxing, pleasant, and cool atmosphere. We're going to make coming here a habit.

Great little one-of-a-kind place for distinctive fresh-roasted coffees and some home-made (literally) sandwiches and baked goodies. Large comfy space. Books, jigsaw puzzles, and youngster diversions on the tables and book shelves. Oh, and coffee... did I mention the coffee?

I visit Scottdale once a year to see my family, and I have always had to drive about 30 mins round trip for a decent coffee. I am so thrilled that I can walk a block and a half to get a perfect coffee. I haven't tried any food yet, but the latte is as good as the ones I buy in Seattle.
SCL is such a lovely (and huge) spot! I wish this place had been here when I was in high school, because it's an excellent location for hanging out with a few friends, reading quietly, or getting some work done.
Oh, and I love that they have a pay-it-forward board where people can buy coffee or snacks for someone else. It really gives a compassionate vibe to the place!
