This place has a great atmosphere and wonderful coffee, but the baristas are indifferent. They don't seem to be able manage a smile. A customer in the shop complained because their cup was all foam and no coffee. I don't blame her because the coffee is overpriced. My previous experiences there have been better, but this last time...I don't need to pay $2 for parking to be ignored and treated coldly.

Had a cortoda and my husband had a cup of the daily brew. The drinks were OK, nothing super in terms of taste. The barrista didn't know if the daily brew was a medium roast or a drank roast and had to ask the other barrista. Not a good impression! At minimum,, barristas should be educated on the type of the daily brew.

I’d like to continue frequenting Coffee Tree but I stand in support with the workers efforts to form a union. I cannot in good conscience patronize a business that refuses to pay their employees holiday pay (despite being open every single day except Christmas), does not want their employees to get electronic tips, and is not motivated to create a fair and safe environment for the very people that make my experience there so enjoyable. #BetterCoffeeTree

Otherwoldly. I posted otherworldly 3 years ago. By far my favorite place to get a cup of coffee or a pound of beans. 4-5 times a week. However I will no longer frequent the store until they recognize the rights of the employees to bargain collectively. If companies feel that they are being fair they should have no reason to fear unions.

Coffee is the best! Acoustics inside is the worst. Loud conversations. Like to sit outside but the other day it was pouring down rain. Inside had a huge leak by the front window. Water every where.

My favorite coffee in Pittsburgh. Great single origin and blends to choose from. You can take home to grind and make. Or get ground to perfection there. Staff is always helpful. Coffee is always recently roasted and has the date posted when done. Varieties also change so you can try new stuff continually.

Will not be going here again until the Union is recognized and they have a fair contract. I just found out that the workers dont get electronic tips!! That is not a way to run a business, shame for not giving those tips to the workers.

I'm conflicted about how to rate this. It's a lovely coffee shop. It has a great vibe and ambiance, good mocha, fair prices, friendly baristas. However, I came here to study and there is a 2 hour cap on wifi- a fact that is not posted anywhere, so I didn't find this out until after I purchased my drink. It was frustrating because had I known, I would've left and gone to a coffee shop that is more welcoming to my type of coffee shop patron. But if you don't need wifi for over two hours- I would highly recommend it.

Great location for congregation with friends, very comfortable atmosphere, indoor and outdoor seating. Espresso and specialty drinks are very good, but coffee is mediocre at best, especially if you're looking for more bold blends.
