Ruckus Coffee Gallery & Café

We had a late lunch. The food was very tasty and the service was great. I had an espresso to go. I would give it a seven. If Starbucks is part of the grading scale: Starbucks would be five.

I am giving two stars for a confusing atmosphere, lack of information on menu items, and lack of menu options.

Atmosphere: Get rid of the weird area rugs, lighten up the walls, move the pick up area to a different place where everyone else is waiting for coffee.turn the music down. It was too loud to talk and distracting. Not everyone likes the same type of music so don't make it too loud.

Lack of info: Put what comes in a drink on the menu. What is in a Carmelmacieto or Americano? How can anyone order of they don't know what is in it?

Lack of menu options: Menu is very cab heave, toasts, waffles, and oatmeal. While there were creative touches, it was just gluten and carbs. Maybe add some omelets. Or fruit.

Specific issue: I ordered a black coffee with the cup half filled and then the rest filled with almond milk. When I got it, it was cold and filled all the way to the top. Leaving no room for cream and sugar. There was also no place to dump a little out so I could add cream and sugar. I asked if they had a microwave to warm it up and they said they did but then tried to make a new cup instead and filled it with all coffee except a splash of almond milk, I don't think unsweetened by the way, and that was not what I ordered. The issue was that they never warmed the almond milk in the first place. So he then dumped that cup out and three times a charm when all that needed to be done was microwave the first cup. So wasteful and could have been avoided in the first place if they listen.

The sugar and cream area is only big enough for one person. I do like the lemon water available.

Overall, not worth the time to go. Also, get rid of the artwork. It is not good.

Coffee and smoothies are delicious. Update: I've tried most of the food options now and they're all excellent. It's really nice to have a place like this so close to home.

The first time I went to Ruckus Coffee the coffee and food was really good, despite the fact that the gentleman working the register did not seem to know the menu or even the basics of coffee drinks (i.e. he didn't know a latte comes with milk). All my visits after the first one have been mediocre at best. The frappes taste like milk slushies w/ flavor syrup and you can't taste any coffee. Most staff do not know that they have decaf espresso and even when they are informed I have to watch them very closely while they make my drink to make sure it is decaf, because they still try to use regular espresso (unfortunately I have a medical condition that prevents me from having fully caffeinated coffee/espresso). The second time I went the breakfast sandwiches were made incorrectly. I definitely can't give them 5 starts, but I hope they will continue to work out the kinks. I will probably not go back for a while to give them time to do this.

Love this new cafe! Stopped in this morning for coffee, espresso, and baked goods! Great quality and prices! Easily the best iced coffee I’ve had in town! Excited to make this our new local spot!

One of our new favorite places. We are there 2 or 3 times a week. Homemade with a bit of flair , tasty and satisfying meals and great coffee.

The girl behind the counter was friendly. Big menu. I got the ruckus waffle sandwich and it was very good. Nice little spot.
