Favorite coffeeshop in Pittsburgh. Love the coffee they carry, very kind folks working there, they adapted to covid in a way that makes me feel safe and appears to make their staff feel safe. Love that they make such an effort to be as sustainable as possible. Also love that I can grab a spirit bagel or a 350 baked good along with my deeper roots coffee. All my favorite things in one friendly warm place. Excited to be able to sit inside again someday, but until then I will continue enjoying their brews, beans, treats and many additional grocery items that they’re now carrying. The maple syrup was bomb! Yinz are the best.

I've probably passed by Cafe Amore 100 times always meaning to go in, but I finally did it and wish that I would have gone in each of the 100 times I passed by it. I ordered a Maple Latte, a large drip coffee, and a savory pastry type snack. The Maple Latte was lightly sweet and smooth. I really recommend it! (It was really for my husband but I snagged a sip before he got it). The Drip Coffee (my go-to) was also amazing! Very smooth, very hot with a robust taste on the back end. Definitely check it out if you have time!

Atmosphere is typical of a Lawrenceville coffee shop. The two baristas seemed generally uninterested. Despite the fact that me and my partner were the only two customers, they acted as if they were busy with putting different drinks and food at different parts of the bar to pick up. Just odd.
The macchiato was good. More milk than you’d typically have, more of a cortado, but the espresso was quite good.
The iced mocha was bad. Flavor just wasn’t there at all.
The lavender lemonade has a very artificial aftertaste.
The two hand pies were quite good. We had the breakfast and the samosa.
The bagel was very good. Little stingy on the cream cheese, but the bagel itself was so good that it made up for it.
I’ll come back, but probably only for a cortado and a bagel.

This place is awesome, all the baristas are rad and very good at their jobs, the coffee is delicious, the baked goods are top notch. Every time I'm in Lawrenceville I try to make it over in time to grab a latte and a cookie.

Great local shop, tasty, locally sourced products with sustainability as a priority. Friendly/cosy atmosphere. Nine Stories bookstore next door.

First time there and it was great! Great tasting coffee, hot and cold! I have a nut allergy, so I asked the barista if there were nuts in a particular bakery item and she pulled out a binder that had the ingredients listed. It is so nice that they have that readily available because I'm not trying to die today! Thank you for great service!

Amazing place to grab a coffee, nice and chill atmosphere. 100% recommended.

Excellent coffee shop. Great coffee, great hang out space. On top of all that, the product is environmentally and economically ethically based. Not many places can afford to care about that but this place pulls it off beautifully. Don't get scared off by slightly higher prices than usual - this is the true cost of coffee.

This is one of my favorite coffee shops in town. The bar seating makes the environment social if one so desires while it maintains the freedom for one to focus in and work. The coffee from Deeper Roots is excellent and the espresso is always well dialed in. Good job Sarah, Liz, and staff!
