Top Hat Coffee Lounge

This is my new favorite brunch spot, basically right on Drexel's campus. The black coffee (not pictured) is fantastic, and well-worth grabbing absent food. However, if you were to go and not get a waffle, you're doing yourself a disservice. I've tried 4 and I have every intention of going back to try the rest. I highly recommend this shop

Come for the coffee, stay for the waffles! Latte was smooth and beautifully poured. The Philly Philly liege waffle with cinnamon cream cheese and was stellar. Never would have thought of this combo! Slightly crispy, slightly sweet but not overly so. Will 100% be returning to try a different waffle combo and looking forward to try a mocha!

Mid-morning today, I was feeling an unidentifiable hankering for something delicious.....I happened to walk past Top Hat and stopped in to see what they had on offer. I had no expectations - ordered a waffle with cream cheese - and was BLOWN AWAY by how delicious and satisfying it was. Not to mention the staff were extremely friendly and helped me out with something personal. Cannot believe I happened upon this gem and highly recommend you make a trip there!

Had an amazing waffle breakfast at Top Hat Coffee Lounge. I had the "Angry Waffle" - it made me happy. Delicious espresso. This is a brand new location that has great coffee, waffles and smoothies in a friendly environment. The owner roasts the coffee himself and takes great pride in the quality of the product.

Enjoyed our trip here. Unique and creative blends of Coffee. The Waffles are a must try. Location faces the sun, so its a great way to start the day

Have to tip my hat to this place. It just opened, but is already making a splash. They have a wide range of coffees, smoothies, and baked goods. They specialize in waffles (so good- got the berry bomb). Their signature blend- the velvet coffee- is really good. It's a college students dream! Came here to work and the WiFi was fast they have a good range of seats for working or just chilling (they have a good number of outlets as well). Will definitely be making this place a regular spot to lounge around.

Fantastic spot for house roasted coffee and delicious liege waffle treats. Both the savory and sweet waffles are awesome. Their beans are my go to fresh beans for pour over at home, and I highly recommend them. Definitely check this place out If you are in the neighborhood!

First time and we will definitely be going back. Waffle was perfect! The whipped cream and fruit were amazing. Espresso was great. Chai tea latte was super!

I FINALLY got a chance to visit the Top Hat Coffee Lounge University City location. I've been buying their beans for a few years now and looked forward to this visit for months!

WOW! Everything was absolutely delicious! We started with a chocolate croissant and had the angry waffle and beginegg cheese!

My date had an iced latte and I enjoyed a cinnamon raisin cookie smoothie. She LOVED the latte and this smoothie tasted EXACTLY like a cookie!

We cannot say enough of the great service, drinks and food. They truly have something AWESOME here!

This place has some of the most delicious waffles I’ve ever had, I can’t wait to come back and try all the other waffle creations on the menu. The coffee is pretty good too. They have a decent amount of seating, so it’s a great place to get some work done as well, although it can get busy at times.
